The advertised package influenced our decision to book based on the stated price, 9 nights of accommodation, referenced “must-see” inclusions, and overall representation of value. However, the actual delivery differed in several key areas:

- An additional $598 was required after booking, despite travelling outside peak season.

- Only 8 nights of accommodation were provided, not the 9 nights promoted.

- Checked baggage was not included and required additional payment, with a 20kg restriction not clearly disclosed upfront.

- The Open Top Double-Decker Bus City Tour commentary was not in English, making the inclusion of little practical value.

- The advertising referenced several must-see sights, which created the impression they were included, however we were required to organise and fund these independently.

- The guided touring component was limited to one full day, one half day, and approximately one hour, which did not align with the overall representation of the package.

These discrepancies significantly reduced the value of what was purchased. Had the true costs, inclusions, and limitations been clearly disclosed at the outset, we would not have proceeded with the booking.

My wife purchased tickets through…

My wife purchased tickets through Groupon and when we went to book with the company they said there is a problem with the Groupon ticket. As they cannot get the money from Groupon they can't let us on the tour. Goto the Groupon website and there are no contact phone numbers. Tour group trying to help us out.

You have to pay for their mistake

I have bought a coupon for going to dreamworld with my friends yesterday. As I bought it as a guest and have not received the coupon, as wasn’t able to resend. I was going to the park yesterday, because it was my last day in Gold coast, so I had to buy a new coupon. Before buying it I have tried to contact them, but they don’t have a live chat. Sent an email explaining the situation, since not receiving the coupon was not my fault. The next day only they replied, and they said they cannot do anything. Even though it is not my fault they said I need to keep the useless coupon (I don’t live in Australia) and no refund and cancelation of the unused coupon can be done. So I pay for their mistake.

Absolutely appalling service.

Absolutely appalling service.We booked an outdoor children’s event, only to have heavy rain (forecast at 10mm) predicted for the day. On top of that, we had a sick child. Attending was clearly not safe or reasonable. Any company with basic customer care would show understanding in this situation.Instead, customer service was rigid, dismissive, and completely unwilling to offer a refund or any meaningful support. They are very quick to take your money, but when something goes wrong, they take zero responsibility. The lack of flexibility and empathy is unacceptable.This experience has completely put me off using Groupon again. If you’re using the app for deals, save yourself the trouble and contact the business directly — you can usually get the same offer without dealing with this kind of terrible aftercare. Don’t waste your time or money.
