I am so grateful for my son’s experience with Hazel Health. He had a wonderful therapist, Kuan, who was so patient, kind, compassionate, understanding, and helpful. She made therapy fun, and my son actually looked forward to his sessions with her. He has gained new tools and skills that will help him in life. He uses these new tools and skills frequently and can communicate with us much easier now. I highly recommend using Hazel Health if your child is struggling.
We signed up for our daughter two weeks ago but it kept saying my name as the child when trying to do the first scheduling. And when trying to contact support their reply address is hello at hello.hazel.co which address is nonexistent and I can’t reply to and only get bounce backs. Tried email support at hazel.co same no reply. Call on their number and always get the run arounds. Very frustrating.
We had a lot of issues scheduling appointments for non school hours and had a lot of change in counselors during the 12 week sessions.I don’t feel that the issues that we shared with the counselors were really addressed. The counselors were very friendly and interacted with our teen well but I felt that they spent a lot of time chatting.
Started okay. Then our provider left Hazel. They assigned a new provider, but we didn't have any introduction. My child met the provider for the first time alone at school and was very uncomfortable. At no point in time have I gotten an update on progress or any kind of report from the initial provider. Just that they were leaving and someone new was coming. New provider gave up after one session where my child struggled to communiate because it was a complete stranger, then the provider left the session with my daughter in tears and discharged her care. Messages were sent to me on portal which I never saw. Very bad experience. Would not recommend.
I would not recommend this company. It seems like they truly do not take mental health as seriously as they should with children. Luckily I was able to keep one child in after they tried to unenroll here at no fault of her own, but I had to seek other services for my other child because the severity of his problems were not taken seriously.
Hazel Health provided care for my children over the summer months. They were flexible and met their needs for the summer. The only downfall (3 stars) is that they have short sessions and the online portal is not user-friendly. The staff that I interacted with were very reasonable and helpful. My children found that the counselors they had made them feel comfortable. I encourage anyone who has (a) child(ren), which is in need of mental health care, to choose Hazel Health.
