I am waiting and waiting for Heritage Bank Queensland customer service to answer the 24/7 (!??????!?) customer support line (now over 30 minutes). Does anyone work there? Absolutely no response- no call queuing nothing. I’ve been with this Bank (??) for 10 years and they are getting worse and worse. NOT recommended

Heritage Bank closed my business account without providing any proper reason or explanation.This account was used only for normal, legitimate purposes:Receiving rental income from a real estate agencyPaying insurance for three houses and three carsThat’s it.No unusual activity, no third-party companies, no international transfers, no crypto, no cash activity, and nothing “dodgy” at all.Despite this, the account was closed with no warning, no transparency, and no meaningful explanation. Customer support could not clearly explain why this decision was made.For a bank to close a straightforward account like this, with such basic and verifiable transactions, is extremely disappointing and concerning. Customers deserve clarity and fair treatment.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Heritage Bank.
Review of Heritage Building Society – Deeply Disappointed After 40+ YearsI never imagined I’d be writing a review like this after being a loyal customer of Heritage Building Society for over 35 years, with both savings and a mortgage entrusted to them. But after the appalling treatment I received tonight, I feel compelled to speak out.This evening, I contacted Heritage due to an urgent issue — only to be treated with a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic customer service.The first person I spoke with, Robin, refused to accept my security question, despite the fact the only letters missing were “PA.” It was petty and inflexible. Then I was transferred to Carly, who escalated the matter to her manager. The result? I was told Heritage would not speak to me any further. That’s right — after 35 years as a customer, they effectively shut the door in my face.I then had to call again and spoke with Tracy, who at least tried, and escalated to Lachlan, her manager. Only then — on the third attempt — was I allowed to proceed.During all of this, I was forced to leave a gathering with friends, humiliated and frustrated, because I couldn’t access my own money. I was told I hadn’t ordered a replacement card, then moments later was told I had. Which is it?What’s most upsetting is not just the confusion or inconvenience — it’s the complete lack of empathy. I was made to feel like a nuisance or a stranger off the street, not a long-standing customer with decades of loyalty and financial contribution.I can no longer recommend Heritage Building Society — or People’s Choice — to anyone. The level of service I experienced tonight was disgraceful. It’s clear that customer loyalty counts for nothing. I’ll be moving my mortgage elsewhere, and I urge others considering Heritage to think carefully before entrusting them with your finances.Shame on you, Heritage.
The worst bank in Australia. I opened an account online and ID was verified successfully and my account got created without any issue. Got my internet banking app setup and deposited money. It was working for two days. After 2 days they locked my account. When called they said my ID didnt get verified so i need to send them certified copies by regular mail with a form filled. Why did you open my account if verifications are failed and let give me access to the online banking platform?. Really frustrating and they couldnt resolve this online. Having a bad system like this i asked them to cancel my account and refund the deposit. Looks like they will charge me for transferring that money to my primary bank (as per the guide they sen wqith cancellation emailt). Such a shame of you Heritage bank.
