Review Time
I ordered an item from Hero Outdoors in December of 2024 about a week before Christmas. Within an hour I decided against the purchase and emailed them to cancel it. They would not do it, suggesting the only option was to try to return it. Kind of cr33py especially just prior to Christmas.I have ordered from them about six times but will not be back. I do not think they are truthful about what they have in inventory either.
Terrible, awful, thieves, scammers, avoid at all costs, wish I had looked here first. They took my money, no product, no response. Now I have to go back to my bank and file a complaint. Evil people as they are knowingly stealing. I cannot believe the Canadian banking system allows them to have an account.
every order so far received with no problems and in timely manner; lots of variety and hard to find items; good mix of high quality stuff and lower cost stuff like military cargo pants that you can use for outside work or in the bush
My son ordered a gun. After waiting more then the 20 business days that it might take, I started trying to make contact. After 35 working days and still unable to make contact, I opened up a PayPal dispute. Within a week I had a full refund. That makes me suspect that PayPal disputes are not uncommon for this joke of a company. And then the day after PayPal told me that we’d be getting a full refund, hero outdoors emails and says that they are issuing a full refund because the item is not in stock!! So what, they were just hanging onto my money because they thought that was ok!? Needless to say we will not be placing another order with Hero Outdoors.
take forever receiving your item and you receive the wrong one and they don't want to do a sh1tt about IT . And they stop responding after ... And its been 4 months and still waiting for my safety goggle.... don't buy from them .ho and more then half of my command I get my money back because its out of order but its don't say anywhere when u buy it ... Is a ducking joke
TLDR: Hero Outdoors lied to me 4 times and delivered 1x broken product of 3x boots ordered. This was achieved in approximately 6 weeks, despite the order being annotated for urgency.I placed a $1000+ order for 3x boots. The comments for the order were annotated as: "time sensitive order, please inform me of any delays". I went with the company because there was no annotation of 'awaiting stock' on the website like most other companies for the boots that I was after.Lie #1: Having waited 2 weeks with the order stalled at 'awaiting fulfillment', I called. I was told that it will be shipping "next week on Tuesday".Lie #2: With no news at the end of that week, I called again. I was told this would be looked into and I would be called back.Lie #3: In the afternoon I called again and was told they were waiting on a big restocking delivery that would be in the following week. I followed up with an email but received no response. No change to the order fulfilled on website.Lie #4: I called that next week to inform them that I wanted to cancel my order. I did this after having confirmed I could get the boots from 'surpluspontrouge' (who managed to deliver within 24hrs from the opposite Canadian coast). I was told by Hero Outdoors that a refund would require the managers involvement so I would be called back. I was called back and informed that 2x boots were out of stock and I could get them refunded, but the other pair that I wanted had shipped 'last week'. On arrival I checked the tracking number and it was in fact posted the day I called.Understandably, Hero Outdoors website says "no returns". I doubt they would stay above water without such a policy.If you are looking for products, I can highly recommend: 'Surpluspontrouge' - Courteous, FAST, and even gave a discount.Please feel free to comment on this post if you are thinking of going with them so that I can dissuade you from doing so.Good luck to all Hero Outdoor customers.
