Not even one star would I give! But had to to write this review! You are a big scam ripping people off adding cover and charges to people after they’ve left the country! Then adding a service tax for the services you didn’t ask for! How are you allowed to do business I do not know but I hope you go bust in Spain and wherever else your ripping people off! Disgusting service please people stay well away!!
I am delighted to report on my recent excellent experience at Hertz Toulouse (Blagnac) Airport. I stupidly left my sunglasses in the car on my return. As I was unable to report the loss online on the Hertz website, I had the good fortune of contacting Ms. Susy Barrat at the Hertz desk in Toulouse Airport by phone. I am from Ireland and Susy's english was better than my french. She personally took responsibilty and located the sunglasses ( which are over 20years old and of great sentimental value) and carefully wrapped them in a box securely, brought them to the post office in her own time, insured the package and kept in communication with me. I was able to reimburse her for her expenses but I think it is so important to acknowledge when someone like Susy goes over and beyond the call of duty. Hopefully Hertz will recognise the excellent contribution Susy has made to the reputation of Hertz as a provider of excellent customer service. well done Susy and many thanks to you. Never again. First of all, I booked the car online (€180) and knew it wasn't the full price. There were a lot of extra fees when picking up the car. For example, if you don't have €3,500 as a deposit, you have to pay extra for each day. I had to pay €260 extra. So, for a three-day car, I paid €440, which I consider a high price. Secondly, when I left for my trip, it turned out that the tax disc was two months out of date. The car's steering wheel vibrated above 100 km/h. When parked, I noticed that there were two different tires on the front axle and two different tires on the rear axle (illegal), which was probably the cause of the steering wheel vibration. I didn't inform Hertz about this right away because I wanted to finally get to my vacation. I was most satisfied when I returned the car and I don't want to use Hertz again.
Do not rent a car from Hertz or Dollar/Beziers Airport. I was supposed to pay 936 euro (included insurances...more than I expected) for two weeks rental. Just back home now. I washed the car , filled the tank. I checked my credit card and nearly 2000 euros taken. The guy at airport busy with other customers. He spotted me waiting with key in my hand. Smiled at me and said "...you have a key ? I said yes, I can take it he said, I wanted to discuss the fuel gauge issue I had (not working properly) and see that the paperwork/bill was all in order. Hertz were very quick to send me a customer satisfaction email even before I had time to unpack and before the nearly 2000 euros was lifted from my account. Holiday makers using Beziers Airport and want to rent a car ... DON'T. ( Irish father and family travelling from Shannon Airport - Ryan Air to Beziers Airport.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ CAR RENTAL. Hidden charges are added for Insurance. Even if you have your own excess cover they add a charge for that at Euro 7.00 per day. Hertz at Farranfore (County Kerry Airport) also trick you into believing they are giving you an offer of a free upgrade and then charge you bundles, dont be fooled. Stay away use another car hire company!!!
I was incorrectly charged for returning the car with 6/8 full of petrol. I returned it full. I only travelled 90km in the weekend and topped it up at nearest petrol station to Knock Airport. Hertz Ireland did not send me any email about the late charge and the first I knew about it when I read my credit card statement. I had to ring Ireland , raise a complaint. I still have not received invoice for charge or refund. I choose Hertz as they are usually okay, no hassle car hire. My advice DO NOT USE Hertrz Knock Airport avoid the hassle and incorrect late charges.
Absolute thieves! Ridiculous charges when returning my car, had it for less than 48hrs and ended up costing me in total over £3k. Just because it had a microscopic chip in the windscreen which was smaller than a cotton bud and Autoglass themselves said they wouldn’t even bother repairing it as wasn’t required. Absolutely disgusting! They said the windsceeen needed replacing but to this day they have failed to prove this has happened and cannot justify the incredible cost passed on to me. My advice, avoid this company like the plague, quite simply, thieves!! Disgusting behaviour from a company. We have reported them to the ombudsman and we are awaiting next steps!
Old car 46k miles shown lots of scratches on desk tablet got to car opened tailgate to find green algae growing on tailgate Very poor won't be using again recomended through Easyjet flight booking system will do my own research next time staff not friendly on pickup and emptieing bins on drop off
