Mugged again through extra charges - Dublin Hertz.

I had a rental at Hertz through Holiday Autos. The document stated 'all fees' were included. At the desk they added €30 for going to the north saying I had to prove it. Icouldn't then but wrote subsequently with proof. They had assured me it would be refunded if I provided proof which I did. I got a short note stating I had signed the rental so accepted the extra charge. This is just theft. Avoid Hertz.

Hertz Van rental its impossible to get…

Hertz Van rental its impossible to get any reply from their customer service just prerecorded messages. Hertz took 725 out mu account and then charged the rental of 231 on top of it. The van was prei nseption report had the van as no damage recorded and when I checked there was a stratch on side door.. Hertz best avoided in my opinion..the receipt issued by hertz said total charges my account was debited by 956 euros just so much hassle this wouldn't happen when using Entertprise rental.

HERTZ HURTS!

I am extremely disappointed with Hertz's car rental service. What was supposed to be a stress-free rental process turned into a nightmare due to their dishonest and unethical business practices. On a recent trip to Dublin Ireland, I had a confirmed rental price of 452.42 euros for the entire rental period, which was agreed upon and signed for during pickup. However, upon returning the car, I was shocked to see a total charge of 1329.26 euros on the receipt. This was a blatant disregard of the confirmed price and an attempt to overcharge me. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue with three different individuals at Hertz's Dublin airport office, I was given various excuses and only after persistent questioning did they claim that I needed to use an American Express credit card to get the confirmed rate. This information was never communicated to me during the reservation process, on the phone or in the confirmation documents. It was only upon my return of the vehicle that this issue was raised, and even then, I was never informed of any specific credit card requirements.I had not thought to bring the card they were now requesting since I didn’t use it to obtain my reservation and had no idea it was going to be needed. However, I was able to contact my son in the U.S. to get all the information off the card they wanted but they refused to accept it. I was told the actual physical card had to be presented in this day of online shopping!Hertz refused to resolve my issue after many email and phone conversations with their customer service in the U.S. and in Ireland. Hertz did not fulfill their obligations as a car rental service provider and have left me with a huge overcharge of their confirmed rental price. Additionally, they are withholding the paperwork that would prove the charges I authorized when I picked up the car. In my opinion, this is a clear indication of their intention to deceive and mislead customers.I cannot recommend Hertz as a car rental service provider and I advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with them. This has been a terrible experience and I hope that Hertz takes responsibility and makes appropriate changes to its policies and procedures. It is disappointing to see such unethical behavior from a company that supposedly prides itself on customer service. Beware! HERTZ HURTS!

I would highly recommend Hertz Car Hire…

I would highly recommend Hertz Car Hire Dublin. After my son got off a long haul flight he was let down badly by another car rental that he had booked with!!! I would especially like to mention Michael (Dublin T1) and his excellent customer service and for sorting my extremely tired and emotional son after being away from home for 3 years! We will be definitely be using Hertz from now on! Thank you 😊

Agressive, rude and sexist employee

On Saturday 16th July my Mother, father and sister-in-law arrived in Dublin from the US and rented a car from the desk at T2, all was well and my mother-in-law drove the car from Dublin Airport to their hotel in Clontarf without issue. On Monday the 19th of July my in-laws checked out of the hotel to drive to Glendalough. Immediately there were issues with the clutch and the car broke down as my mother-in-law attempted to return it to the airport. Myself and my father-in-law continued in my car to T2 to talk to the staff at the desk and see if we could get information on sourcing a replacement car as my mother-in-law waited on roadside assistance. At the desk we were greeted by a staff member with gray hair and beard wearing a white shirt, we explained the situation to him calmly and politely. This staff member's conduct in dealing with us was nothing short of disgraceful. The staff member rolled his eyes at us and exclaimed "she didn't get very far did she?" followed by "I advise next time she gets an automatic seeing as she clearly can't handle a manual, actually forget that they won't even offer her a manual".When I asked as to where the car would be towed to so we could meet up with my mother-in-law and my wife, the staff member was curt and aggressive in his tone, and all but shooed us away to deal with the next person in line. As someone who works in a customer facing role, I was utterly appalled by the demeanor and conduct of this staff member, who seems to think it appropriate to demean paying customers with his rude and sexist conduct. It is shameful that this type of employee be one of the first interactions visitors to Ireland have upon landing in T2.

Complete rip-off in Ireland!

I have rented a car with them on several occasions and usually had no issues. Unfortunately, this was not a case recently when I rented a car in Ireland. During the pick up we were asked if we needed additional insurance. We have declined and handed in our credit card for pre-authorisation in case of damage. This is what we usually do and never had issues. To our surprise upon returning the car our card was charged additional 200EUR for Super Cover which we have never agreed to! The support team was useless and said that we agreed to and they would not be returning the money.

DO NOT USE - SCAM

In march my car was hit by a hertz rental car, liability was confirmed to be with hertz by the guards and CCTV, i rang the Hertz explained what had happend and they assured me that they would call me back and look into the situation! To this day i have not received 1 phone call back, they have declined liability even with CCTV to confirm the the reental car hit me. They left my claim for weeks on end without doing anything even when the claims officer was off for over a week it was never given to someone else to be handled. Every time i have contacted them they have fobbed me off and have even hung up on me...I delt with the head claims officer who spoke to me as if i was a stupid little girl and sniggered down the phone at me, as soon as i put him onto a male he completely changed how he spoke and offered up an information which when i asked for was not available! As young women whos worked her way in a large global company i have never been treated with such sexist behavior, and been spoken/treated so badly!! I have had no other option than to get a solicitor and barrister involved as they have left me without a car for 8 weeks, a car i depend on for travelling an hour to and from work ever day, they have massively effected my livelihood. I have never been so disgusted by my treatment and how the situation had been handled, if you are even thinking of coming in contact with hertz dont, they are the worst company i have had the misfortune of having to deal with!!!
