08/07/2025: the replacement i had tor order by myself, also stopped working after 4 days, and i decided actually not to use the support (because it sucks) , i made a paypal reclamation to get my money back, and now i im waiting for an answer from hilo over paypal. i also made a german rating over truspilot, there is the complete horror storySo the band only worked for 4 days, so I can't rate it at all. What I can rate is the service, which is the worst I've ever experienced in my life. On the one hand, you are told that you can't return the item because you have broken a seal, and then you are referred to some terms and conditions that you are never shown before or during the purchase, which are not on any website and which, according to German law, would not apply to trade with private individuals anyway. If you do manage to get someone to respond, you don't just get a simple replacement, no, it's processed slowly and you have to take care of everything yourself. An exchange takes at least 14 days. So 4 weeks have passed uselessly and the free 4-week subscription is no longer valid. So you have not inspired my trust and I have a bad feeling that I have wasted over 200€ here.Hilo Support TicketNr. was/is: 261418
The company did well with getting the device to me, but I am not convinced about the accuracy of the product and claims around the same. Based upon long term measurement of BP with a traditional cuff device UK accredited, the HiLo Band is not accurate even when calibrated. For time trending analysis it may be useful, but unfortunately I am beyond 14-days to return it so it's considerable money in the top drawer.
Love this device records all day and night gives me history and can see if any changes happen. I don’t go to the doctors very often and keeps me up to date. Looking forward to the new ideas and going from strength to strength this company. Thank you Hilo team
My husband and I both have the HILO band and absolutely love it! I first got the band for him in April 2025. It was mentioned to us during a post operative follow-up meeting with one of his specialist drs. He was 6 months post op after having two open heart surgeries in a month. He has congestive heart failure on top of everything, and the cardiologist asked him to monitor his bp to not go above a certain number. The dr that recommended hadn’t used it first hand, but said a friend of his (a cardiologist with heart disease), had got it and said he loved it. We gave it a try and immediately found it to be invaluable. No more up and down readings from not sitting properly or resting long enough after walking to check it. It is all done for him, when he is in a rest position and we can check it with the cuff or fingerprint option (super cool!) anytime which is fantastic. I had been experiencing chest pressure from reflux for some time, and been getting inconsistent readings from the normal cuff bp reader, so after a month of my husband using his I decided to order one for myself. I’m obsessed with how simple it is to track such an important vital. It syncs to the health app on our iPhones and we can download or share full monthly stats on the average bp and heart rate or the full monthly stats- including times and notes showing when there’s elevated rates. This is a MUST for anyone wanting or needing a reliable bp and heart rate stat in their life!
Should have read the reviews before purchasing this Hilo product, a lot of negativity! I am trying to reach them but my expectations at this point are low to say the least. I opened the box and began reading the instruction booklet only to discover that I will not be able to use it because I have a PaceMaker implant. No where did I see this in any of the online adds promoting and selling this product that indicated this. Because I opened the box it appears that I will not be able to return this product or get a refund. I did receive a so called ticket # but not sure that this means anything at this point.
Well I received the HiLo band and was quite pleased with the results, and there were many. I bought the device to be able to check my blood pressure at anytime. Well the first month was really good. Unfortunately I was NOT told that if you aren’t going to subscribe to HiLo then it is a piece of plastic sitting around and only 3 times a month can you test your blood pressure. If I had been told this, I would not have purchased the Hilo Band. Please be warned.
After a month of having the device, I was locked out of the history (a very basic function and the point of the device) unless I signed up for a $10/month subscription. This was not a clear limitation when I bought the device and is completely misleading and inappropriate for such an expensive device. Looking into other apps that can extract the data but otherwise will be returning the band.
