I bought my device from Amazon. Arrived quickly, everything seemed fine and working well. After two weeks the wrist band completely stopped working. Between May and Aug there still hasn’t been a resolution for the broken device; it has been returned but progress is negligible. There are also two key points to note that aren’t immediately obvious when buying the device. First, is that if the wrist band breaks, the cuff will not work either as it is linked to the cuff. The other issue is that there is a paid subscription to access your full readings history and other information. Both of these points, for me, making this a shocking purchase and I caution anyone thinking about buying. I have since returned to using a £20 traditional blood pressure device which works fine.
I’ve used the Aktiia bracelet for a year or so now. I’m not convinced the bracelet is accurate / it always significantly differs to if I take cuff readings on my hospital approved device. The bracelet often doesn’t sync to the app so I can’t see my BP anyway. Yesterday my bracelet actually broke - the strap is far too flimsy and had a small tear for months but yesterday when I woke up had actually snapped in half so it’s now unusable and a fortune to replace even though I already paid a ridiculous amount for the Aktiia and it’s not my fault it is bad quality. My final issue is that there is absolutely no customer support. I’ve looked for someone to speak to about my strap breaking and wanting a replacement but after a chat with a robot who was absolutely no help there was no email or number provided for me to speak to an actual human.
A brilliant idea neatly packaged and well researched with a good scientific background. However mine just didn’t work and it was absolutely impossible to find any means of support. A chatbot just took me round in circles and I tried for a refund. The FAQ page directed me to the chat bot that just took me round in circles I am still trying to get help or dben return the device but there is ZERO customer support Buyer beware
Update. Replacement bracelet sent after original deemed faulty by Aktiia, is also faulty. They now expect me to be without the use of the device as I need to send the 2nd faulty device back, before they send yet another bracelet out to be. Bearing in mind they've already said they can see it's also faulty in the system. I have now informed them I require a refund and that I will refer the matter to my credit card company. Item less than one year old.
The Customer service provided by this Company is appalling !!Apart from the fact that the charging station has failed within the 2 year warranty and needs replacing, I am getting nowhere.since the App has automatically changed from Aktiia to Hilo, the bracelet keeps losing Bluetooth connection to my Apple watch and subsequently gives no readings.Numerous emails and photos that have been requested over the last 2 weeks and sent are getting me nowhere.I have asked for a replacement under warranty - No answer !!Changes in their terms and conditions now mean that you have to pay to get some of the data. This was Free previously.I advise people Not to waste their Money !!!!
The new Halo band measurement consistently falls out, the old system was much better, Halo does not sync unless you constantly reboot your phone, and the new app is terrible. Customer service is a Chatbot and a disgrace. In order to return, you have to communicate with a useless bot, but that can’t always figure out what you’re trying to accomplish.
