Review Time
When new it was good and seemed to be very reluable but a few years on, it's not doing so well. Charging is not now reliable and initialisation is very hit and miss. Sometimes takes many attempts to get the initialisation done as it fails time after time but for different reasons each time when nothing has changed. I expected better for the price paid. I have a smart watch that is overtwice as old and have no issues at all. Not sure I would buy again, which is a shame as when it works it seems to be good.
The actual measurement bracelet is great and seems to work well, I however have a couple of reservations. It’s clear the use of a light to measure pressure could be done through something like an Apple Watch and this would mean no need to wear a specific bracelet, and after two years I am having charging issues it just feels unnecessary. Doing the monthly check measurements is also a pain and arguably if I was that disciplined normally I wouldn’t need a monitor. Does work though if daily knowledge is important
I was disappointed that literally a few weeks after purchasing the device a new iteration was releasedn for the price I had paid. This left a bitter taste in my mouth as the new version had improved features and charging capabilities. I find that some days my device collects lots of readings whereas others there can be huge gaps. Would the newer version address this? I will never know without some sort of trade-in option. I certainly won't pay full price for a new version. Although when the device is working it does give me valuable insights into my blood pressure and has helped me prove to my doctors that my medication was actually increasing my blood pressure rather than improving it. Without the device this would have been near impossible to prove.
An excellent product. Easy to set up and use and monitor my blood pressure without the ‘white coat ‘ issues of the GP’s surgery. Very reassuring to be able to do this. A tip : Keep inside of bracelet strap clean and dry. A light wipe daily stops it irritating the skin.
I have had my device for two years but I’m on my third due to failures. The device and software are great in general. However calibration can be a pain (you have to do this once per month) because it relies on skin resistance. It’s best to do this after a shower or bath and make sure that all blue tooth devices are turned off because they seem to clash with each other. The strap is dreadful and only lasts a short while before it breaks (it’s very soft silicon) or tears if caught. The replacements are a ridiculous price. The data is useful and can easily be accessed and shared with medical professionals. Customer service is dreadful and takes weeks to get a response. The charger station is tiny and will not stay on a surface while charging because it’s too light and slides on the floor. It need to be heavier and have some grip on the back surface.UPDATE following response from AKTIIA: The customer service system is POOR they know this and the comments on the internet confirm this. The virtual assistant is a totally waste of time, customers need to be able and should expect a response to warrantee claims in good time, not wait months.
