Review Time
As a cardiovascular doctor, I find this blood pressure monitor reliable and easy to use. It provides me with the day-to-day and hour-to-hour blood pressure fluxes that my patients experience. This allows me to more accurately ensure their BP is controlled, and so reduce their risk of heart attack or stroke.
The only reason to buy is that there is no true alternative! Issues: Sync & data display extremely slow, no Apple health integration, calibration very cumbersome - often asks for repeats, bracelet not well designed (occasionally fails to collect data), not fully waterproof, poor quality - experienced two defects already, poor customer service, replacement bracelet cannot be obtained w/o buying the whole set! - what a stupid waste since it’s the bracelet that keeps failing. This is an immature product, and Akttia is clearly not well run. Nevertheless, the product is unique!
It is very convenient to have a tool that monitors your blood pressure 24/7;AKTIIA almost does that without having an uncomfortable cuff.The tool tracks the BP following calibration.The device however does not seem to show BP readings during activities? Apparently night time measurements do not show night time dipping accurately according to a study in JAMA??
The feedback questionnaire is in German, although I don’t speak German. And I couldn’t find a way to change it.The Aktiia app is not available on my App Store, as I am based in South Africa. The only way possible for me to download the app was to create a new Apple ID, and then revert back to my own Apple ID, a highly cumbersome process.After re-initialising, my blood pressure jumped up by approx 20 (both sys and dia), so I don’t actually know which is correct, and leads me to question the reliability of the product.Other than these issues, I am happy with the product overall, thank you
