Booked a holiday on Friday for the May half term, no details sent to me. Contacted the company and they refuse to send them to me and told me to go via cottages.com. Spent ages queuing via cottages.com who told me it isn't them that needs to send the details to me it is HomeToGo, so around and around I go!. Absolutely awful experience. At my wits end on how to resolve this. Looks like I will need to contact my bank as this looks like a scam. Based on this experience I would never use this company again. Update - I had made a typo in my email address but provided the booking number, address, proof of payment and all other details requested but the advisor just said I have to send all of this in via the email I used. I made a typo so of course this email address doesn’t exist! And no it’s not been resolved properly! I had to beg cottages.com to send me something so they sent me some information that luckily had the owners details on it. I have had to resolve all of this on my own with no help from HometoGo!
Our room was nice but the price was ridiculous. We looked it up online before going. Price was around 199.00We were shocked when the bill actually come to 330.00 I think that's absurd for a one night stay less than 12 hours. I use to love these hotels but I believe this was my last stay. Avid hotels right next door was only 150.00Another good thing gone away. I was about to fall asleep driving or I would have went elsewhere. Don't see how Hilton can justify 330.00 for one night & one room. Absurd.
I would give 0 stars if I had the chance! I don't even know where to start. We made a booking through HomeToGo which was confirmed, and IPG sent us a confirmation email with all details in it as well. About a month later we travel all the way to Florida the day of check-in, and what do we see? OUR RESERVATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED TWO WEEKS AGO AND NO ONE INFORMED US. IPG Florida informed us HOURS BEFORE. We're in Florida right now with a group of 9 girls with literally nowhere to stay, trying to figure that out. We're EXTREMELY disappointed and ANGRY that this happened and obviously stressed trying to find a place to go LAST SECOND. Never work with them again. Oh and funny thing is, we're here right now, check-in time is now, but the house is canceled and still LOOKS CONFIRMED on their website. Also, until today, I tried SO much to contact them. Non-stop calls, online chat waiting for a representative to show up for hours, and numerous emails with no responses. They STILL didn't tell us it's canceled, only IPG did HOURS BEFORE CHECK-IN. This is unacceptable.
Making my payment for a holiday was a shambles and when after taking time two times to write a review explaining why I had only given two stars my efforts were in vane when after clicking CONTNUE my reviews disappeared and I was left with a blank screen !
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY !!! After receiving a confirmation a month before traveling, we drove 8 hours to our destination only to be told by the owner she had not received ANYTHING about our booking. It was summer holidays and the entire island was booked. Only through the kindness of the owner calling around we managed to find another apartment and save our holiday.I have tried to contact Home to Go three times about the situation and a refund and I have received NOTHING. ONCE AGAIN - AVOID THIS BOOKING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS !!!
The fine print is how they get you. They keep your canceled reservations funds. So if they give you a bad hotel and you need to leave because the location was not suitable for humans and you cancel, hometogo keeps the refund from the hotel. This is basically a scam website.
-3,000 stars. DO NOT BOOK with them!!! Everything should be in caps and bold. Look up home to go reviews and you will see why. They rip everyone off and will absolutely not refund your money even when it is their own fault….false advertising and fraud. Do your research. Worst company ever!!!
DO NOT BOOK HERE. They do not have a number to contact anyone. It’s just a recording saying to email them. I’ve never received any confirmation or anything. Thank god I took a snap shot of my booking number so I had proof I paid. I highly recommend snap shotting any info you get when you first book because that’s all you get. Very unprofessional. I booked a condo on this site and the vacation rental property never sent me any details on how to get in the house/ what the code was etc. I tried to email them and left multiple voice messages. I have been working with the hometogo customer support team for weeks now to receive a refund and they tell me they cannot because they too are unable to contact the vendor. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS AGENCY. They will not help you and you might lose your entire rental payment as I have. It’s a terrible feeling but hope I can spread the word so more people don’t find themselves in the same boat.
