Wish I read these reviews before. I thought I used them before without any issues, so never came to mind to read the reviews.I booked an apartment on June 4. Booking was confirmed. I send a message right after, since I need to make a reservation for a parking spot, and there is no contact info for the owner of the apartment in the booking.Then almost 3 weeks later I get a general response (like so many I see in the reviews here), stating that they get too many inquiries, not even answering my question.Replied again to their mail, but still no answer.Hopefully no double bookings as I read so many have had here already. Fingers crossed.I have reached out too DirectBooking (the booking provider). Hopefully they will respond to my message.
I would rather trust a pedafile to babysit my children than ever use Hometogo again. We rented a house for 4 nights in Flagstaff AZ that was advertised as having AC. Deception! It was only air conditioned in the mater bedroom. The rest of the house was very hot! It was advertised as having TV and wifi. The wifi speed was only 1.48 Mpbs which is slower than a turtle crawling backward. This made the TV unusable. When I contacted the managing realtor they said they knew there was only AC in the bedroom "BUT IT COOLS OFF AT NIGHT! If you have a problem Hometogo cannot be contacted except via text so you cannot get anyone to immediately respond. We were only able to stay one night and had to get a motel for the next 3 nights. We basically blew $750.00. I have sent them a detailed email but all I have received is "Someone will contact you in 24-48 hours. THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE CONTACT NUMBER. I assume they will state "Why didn't you contact us. I called the number provided and got the realtor. She said there was nothing she could do. When I asked for a number to contact Hometogo she said she didn't have any. They will take your money and slam the door in your face. The next thing I expect to get is someone from an island telling me "NOT TO WORRY! Yeah right! I wish I could give a negative star rating because there don't deserve one star. It is shameful to falsely advertise a property like they do. And if it is just the realtor who provides the description then I would never trust them. BTY the realty company is West Reality USA Flagstaff.
We booked a rental in St. Louis, MO in March and I received a booking confirmation email from the owner but then nothing else. I tried contacting Home to Go and the owner to get the info on how we will gain access to the rental but still nothing. Then the DAY BEFORE our scheduled check-in the owner of the property cancelled our reservation!! They told us it had not been confirmed then a 2nd email said it was cancelled. But after they had already cancelled the reservation they sent the rental agreement in an email to my husband. I didn't give them my husband's email address, they should have been communicating with me. Then they call that they didn't cancel the reservation and it must have been us or Home to Go that cancelled it. In a separate email to my husband they tell him the booking was still confirmed. We paid for half of the week already and I am very worried that we will not get our $666.67 back. Home to Go was absolutely no help at all, they just keep referring me back to the owner of the property. Do not use this site! Our family vacation was almost ruined and we may have lost over $600. We booked a new reservation through VRBO.
I wished I would have done research on this company. I canceled a booking and they will not refund my money even though I am in the booking grace period. I have been emailing them since March 17, 2024. I have provided them a screenshot of the cancellation policy that’s listed on their website and a screenshot of my credit card statement with the charge that matches the amount from their website.Still NOTHING but run around, below is their next ask of me:I would appreciate if you could send a transaction confirmation from your bank in the form of a PDF file or photo in response to this email, where the amount of the booking, your details and the date of payment are visible.As I stated above, they have screenshot of the credit card statement, my booking ID and the refund cancellation. Yet they can’t refund my money!! DO NOT USE THEM
I'm so glad I found the reviews on here and feel I have dodged a bullet. I found a potential holiday place in South Devon that I wanted to book but needed to ask questions about it first. Just an automated email response and no answer to my questions before booking. There's no time to sit about waiting for a response. On their site it says the accommodation is available for some dates in July but if you go direct to the property website it's all booked up so the dates available on the site are misleading and inaccurate.
This is a phantom company. There is no way to contact a property advertised by an owner, or give number direct to the person at the location. Basically to find out further questions. They expect you to pay right up front without knowing all of the details, they are in so many countries, it would seem impossible to manage such a portfolio. Definitely a bad experience awaiting.
A very poor company that claim excellent customer handling. My family booked a holiday cottage and the booking went through without a hitch. The money was taken immediately but my wife entered the wrong email address (a small typo). 3 days and dozens of emails later it’s still not resolved. 3 days of continuous emails and chats and we still can’t get anyone to acknowledge the error and give us the details for our holiday. We’re meant to leave in 3 days and haven’t been issued any details. This is not an excuse but my wife has cancer and I have an 9 year old who both very much need this vacation. Avoid this outfit at all costs and go through an alternate company if you can.
