Review Time
Over the years, I've moved three times using the platform. While it's an outdated website, it has functioned—until recently. I haven't received any emails for over a month, whereas I used to get daily updates. The main issue lies with other users; some seem to just want to socialize rather than actually swap homes, often ignoring the details of my property or misrepresenting theirs. They attempt to pressure you into swapping even after you've clearly declined multiple times. The search functionality on the platform is quite annoying, requiring you to re-enter your property preferences with every search. Additionally, there appears to be no customer support available to address issues with the website or app. I've been emailing for a month without any resolution. The platform urgently needs improvements to eliminate timewasters.

I used to get a daily update email. The biggest problem is other users. Some people dont want to move, are lonely and think its a way to meet new friends, can't or don't read the details of your property, lie about theirs, just want to look at other people's homes, try to pressure you into swapping even if you said NO to them multiple times. The search feature on the app is very frustrating, you have to keep entering the features of the property you are looking for each time you perform a search. There doesn't seem to be any customer service to actually speak to about problems using the website or app.ive been emailing for a month and not getting anywhere. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT TO WEED OUT TIMEWASTERS.
This site just does not work, since the "upgrade" its been verifiably worse, says "oops something went wrong" for everything, sending messages, searches, I am certain that this site withholds certain properties from you even when you open up all the search parameters, for instance there are 2 people I know of who's houses are in a certain area that I know are on homeswapper but no matter how specific my search is homeswapper will never show me their addresses it feels like they're gatekeeping housing, if they are, what am I actually paying them money for because its not the functionality of the site, searches will bring up properties miles from your desired location but apparently will hide actual properties in that location which kinda negates their multiswap function
Home swapper have lot of mental health problem and always playing up with a change of password every 6 months that's crazy if someone sent message but take about 8 hours or so this website looks so awful and sick I'm glad I've been deleted account and looked better now
Does not reset password using safe suggested password. Company does not reply to emails. Company does not supply telephone number. If I could give this a minus star rating I would. Do not pay to use this company as it does not provide the service you think you are paying for. The ombudsman needs to look into this shambles of a company!
REPLY TO HOMESWAPER BELOW THIS REVIEW. So they set up a recuring subscription on PayPal which I KNOW I DID not agree to, and it was NOT mentioned at any point when I initially signed up, and they have now just taken another 6 months payment from me.The last few times I had used them they notified me that my time was coming to an end and that I needed to pay again to continue to use the service, this DID NOT happen this time.I have now raise a claim with PayPal about this.This is not acceptable and is very underhand and deceptive. I had been my intention to close my account down as the service is just a load of rubbish, just read other reviews and you will see.I am not a happy Chappy!14/11/25 @16:32 -Reply to HomeswapperLike I said poor and deceptive practices, at NO point was it made clear I was signing up for a subscription.The two times prior there was no subscription, just you emailing me telling me if I wanted to continue to use the service I had to pay again.The only notification I got this time was from Paypal telling me you had taken another 6 months worth of money!I have already complained to Paypal and asked for a full refund, they informed me they had let you know of this.The service you provide is not fit for purpose and is just a money grabbing exercise, and this latest issue is just another indication of that.The only way you can resolve this is to answer to the Paypal case and refund me in full.Use Homeswapper at your peril people
Very poor customer services and matching system. Plus don’t activate my account - even though I have been told by my Landlord that I have a secure tenancy, with a letter to prove this. They just keep asking for money to open my account. As a vulnerable person, that is desperate to exchange, I find this very disingenuous. When you contact customer services - they don’t reply. I have had to make three different accounts, spending multiple hours trying to set them up. I’m disappointed and disgusted, and to think they have been recommended by my local council!
