Review Time
I've tried out a bunch of galleries of all kinds (web-based, plugins, etc.)... and I've never really found anything that truly met my needs... JAlbum is definitely different... it lets you build galleries locally, directly from your sources... in short, it's an excellent piece of software, mature and relatively easy to use... And here's a big surprise: JAlbum reads XMP tags, allowing you to display a customizable tag cloud if you choose a skin that supports it... for now: 10/10...
I've used JAlbum for mac for two and a half decades now and have found over time it's familiar use allows me to take images of projects designed and processed on the property I manage and then uploaded to a youTube channel to be used as a record of progress on the property, a very useful benefit when called upon. Great software ... thank you

I use Jalbum for private use (family, friends, ..). Now I've online about 16000 photos and all works well.JAlbum runs on an old Win10 PC but browsing and search function are quickly.I've not found any bugs in years.Really a good product with a lot of upgrade during the year.
It is nice tool if you want to accept the albums as they are produced by a skin and upload them directly to the web. If you want to adjust something it is not easy because of all the options. If you want to add text (not as caption, but ordinary text) between sections of photos, it is like looking for a needle in a haystack: impossible even with help of Copilot or Chatgpt. Integration with an existing website is another difficulty. I gave up with the tool after three evenings ... It requires an IT expert to use!
