This was a fantastic experience for me and my wife. We kept the entire thing a secret until we arrived at the airport.The accommodation was perfect for what we required and booked excursions and guide were fabulous.
My Journee trip took me to a place that had never even crossed my mind! The experience was amazing! I loved the location, the scenery was spectacular, the locals were exceedingly friendly! I asked for a place that was scenic, colorful and safe for a solo female traveler! Journee delivered! Book your Journee! You won’t regret it!
Ok, if you're reading this, sitting on the fence because you're a type A personality who could NEVER let anyone you don't know pick your flights, accommodations or what YOU'LL be doing on YOUR vacation, then please read on because I am that person. Journee began popping up on my social media pages and at first I thought no way! Then I started doing my research. Their reviews, all the Tik Tok videos I could find and even had some chats with explorers who had gone on adventures. Needless to say I took the leap and I'm so very glad I did. I booked in December for a May trip and felt so good about my decision and the company itself, I booked another for later in the year, before I left for my first trip! From the moment I filled out my questionnaire until the end of my trip, I never felt "alone". If I had a question, they were always available. This was my very first time traveling abroad and doing it solo. I never felt unsafe. I simply cannot put into words the amazing experience Journee provides. I didn't have to stress or spend hours planning a trip to a place I've never been. The flight was comfortable (even overnight), the accommodations superb and the excursions were so much fun!I'm sitting at the airport on my way home writing this after I just finished another questionnaire for trip number 3. If you have any doubts or reservations about a trip with Journee, please don't. If you have any questions or if you get a proposal that needs a little tweaking, just message them on Whatsapp or email. They really have a passion for what they do and it shows.
Still on a high after returning from our surprise trip organised by Journee last weekend, and to say they nailed it is an understatement! We were captured by the excitement of the concept, select your criteria, wants, needs, don't likes, expectations etc and after spending time to complete that we received a proposal. Not usually this spontaneous, and typically doing a lot of time consuming research, been decided to forgo that and accept it. That's when the excitement really started with fortnightly clues and features unlocking in the app. We think we guessed correctly early on but further clues sent us off the trail. Leading up to the departure day we were the most excited we'd need about a trip for ages and we were not disappointed. We opened the envelope at the airport and jetted off to a location that fulfilled every aspect of our criteria - without us having to lift a finger or spend any time researching. We just followed the packing advice, turned up at the airport and had 4 days of fun, culture, walking, site seeing, trips and drinking. Absolutely loved it and are now thinking about when to use Journee again.
We asked to do a bit everything and Journee did not disappoint. We wanted big cities and little cities, museums and hiking, time alone and guided tours. We got it all! I still can't believe all that we did in a week! Journee was fantastic and communication was great.
I’m new to this and haven’t booked a trip yet because of finances BUT I’m so looking forward to being able to do this seeing as how I’ve only been out of the U.S. one time. I’ve never traveled alone and after raising 3 children on my own I’m really looking forward to it. Reading all of your reviews has me so excited to do this and I’m living vicariously through all of your reviews. I love this for you all.
This is my second time booking with Journee and loved it yet again! My surprise destination this time was Malta which I had never thought about before but I highly recommend! Why this is a 4-star instead of a 5-star (ideally 4.5) is because the accommodation that they booked us in, whilst absolutely lovely (wasn't expecting it to be so nice), they required a 100€ deposit at time of checking in. This was fully refunded and received on the day of checking out, but my issue was that this was not addressed on the proposal but rather in the checking in section of the Journee Passport which is only available on the day of the flight. If you weren't able to do this, you would have been stuck. Apart from that, the customer service team were extremely helpful even when on the holiday and I cannot thank them enough for creating such an easy and wonderful experience. There were some other nitpicks but that is purely our issue not the company. I will advise Journee if they read this that it would be worth having another airport closer to the South West to make it more accessible to people in the South West so Bristol for example.
This was our second experience with Journee and it was amazing. The was destination perfectly matched to the vibe we were looking for in a short break, and we’re already thinking about when we can book our third trip with them. The recommendations, the booked experiences and the accommodation were ideal! You could tell a lot of care and attention had gone into the planning of the trip, and I can’t stop raving about it to everyone I talk soon since being home. My wife and I love to travel, but with our busy schedules and young children, getting together to actually plan something proved difficult. With Journee, we didn't have to! From beginning to end, not only did they plan it all, but they were also just a WhatsApp message away if we had questions! And no, they don't overload your schedule! Journee included free time for us to explore our destination at our own pace. It was an amazing surprise trip and I 100% recommend trying them for yourself. My wife and I will certainly have more adventures with Journee!
