Review Time
I tripped upon this travel agent while planning for a 30th anniversary trip. I had gotten very stressed out and bogged down with trying to make it all work and decided to turn it all over to this company that I knew almost nothing about. What a great decision! One of the best trips of my lifetime. We ended up in a beautiful place that I never would’ve considered going. Everything was planned just perfectly and any questions I had were quickly answered by the staff. It is definitely a small staff of people so you always feel like you’re talking to a real person but they’re very very responsive. I am a total control freak about travel so any of you thinking about this who don’t think you could “let go“I assure you you can and you will be better for this experience. We will definitely be doing another trip with this company. Don’t worry, they ask you every possible question to make sure you won’t be stuck doing something that you wouldn’t enjoy. They even ask you how busy you want to be so the schedule is tailored to you. We had three full days in our city to explore on our own but had we said we wanted to be busier I’m sure they would’ve filled every day. Don’t think about it anymore. Just do it! The ONLY caveat, I would say, is if you do say that you would like to do outdoor activities be sure that you are in decent physical condition. If you are an American tourist and used to getting off of a bus and walking on a flat paved path, that is not what you will experience at least not in Portugal :-) We thought it was amazing, but we could think of a few people we know that might’ve thought the physical end of it was a bit much. BOOK WITH JOURNEE!!!
This is the second time I've done a Journee holiday and I'm already planning my third. Fantastic service right from the start, I had some questions about my proposal and they answered straight away. I told them that I didn't want a certain tour booking and they immediately reassured me that they wouldn't and took the cost off my budget. Every time I had a question or concern they replied on WhatsApp very quickly. The holiday was perfect. I never would have chosen the location at this time of year but I already want to go back, one of the best holidays I've ever been on and I didn't even pick it. The things that were planned for us were lovely and added so much to the experience. The guide book that is given to us was used a lot, we didn't have to make any decisions at all because they had laid everything out for us. We got to do what suited us, without any of the headache. I couldn't recommend them more.
Journee does not disappoint! My husband passed away 9 months prior to my adventure and I wanted to go on a solo trip that would help me heal. I bought a Journee for my husband’s birthday and we’ve had the most incredible time. Getting a proposal is really straight forward and feels very personal with the amount of detail you give. The clues beforehand meant the whole process was really exciting, and my friends and family also enjoyed guessing along the way. The trip itself completely exceeded expectations, everything was so well thought out and the quality was better than expected. I paid to upgrade to premium accommodation as we like luxury hotels, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The overall value I thought was fantastic and we had an incredible time in a place we otherwise wouldn’t have visited. We will certainly be using them again!
I had an absolutely amazing experience with Journee! I loved the whole surprise-trip concept, and as a solo traveler I felt completely safe and taken care of the entire time. The excursions Journee arranged for me were fantastic — fun, well-planned, and a great way to meet new people along the way.One of the things I appreciated most was how easy everything was. I was a bit nervous about arriving in a new country alone, but having a driver waiting for me at the airport took all the stress away. From start to finish, the whole trip felt seamless.The food was incredible, the people were wonderful, and I couldn’t have asked for a better adventure. I would 100% book with Journee again!
Amazing trip! They took control of organizing EVERYTHING so I could relax and go along for the ride. They even included plenty od downtime for me to explore on my own (with the help of their suggested "sites to see). They provided a very thorough booklet that included how to say phrases, local foods to eat, restaurants to go to. They put together a lovely trip for me!!
So far I’ve done 2 trips with Journee and I’m looking forward to many more. The attention to detail is so impressive. Given that many aspects of the trip are left unknown, it is truly a magical experience to leave the planning up to the Journee team and just show up and enjoy!! The experiences that they book are so thoughtful and a true cultural immersion. And they go an extra mile to make sure you get the most of it! For one of my experiences, my table was booked front and center to the stage, another experience was 1:1 with a local guide. Both I will never forget. Thank you Journee!!
