BEWARE: This company engages in deceptive advertising practices.I purchased a solar lantern after seeing their Instagram ad, which showed a beautiful, CLEAR glass lantern that appeared to be a substantial size based on the person holding it in the photos.What I Actually Received:A tiny FROSTED PLASTIC lantern (not clear as advertised)Dimensions approximately 3-4 times SMALLER than the advertisement suggestedPoor quality ABS plastic that looks nothing like the elegant product shown onlineOverall appearance and quality completely different from marketing imagesThe Problems:1. Misleading Size: The advertisement used deceptive photography to make the product appear much larger. The actual lantern is only about 5 inches tall (body) - far smaller than shown.2. Wrong Material: Advertised as clear/transparent, received frosted plastic that looks cheap and nothing like the photos.3. Terrible Return Policy: When I complained, they insisted I pay for international shipping back to China (easily $50-100+) plus customs fees. This means the "refund" would cost me more than keeping their fraudulent product.4. No Accountability: Despite providing photo evidence of the discrepancies, they refuse to offer a reasonable solution or take responsibility for their false advertising.
Would give zero stars if I could. Fraudulent social advertising. The products are nothing like what is pictured. They offer money back guarantees - but the fine print says you're responsible for the shipping costs...to China. It would cost me over $200 to ship back the garbage I paid $70 for. The size and quality are NOTHING like what they advertise. STAY AWAY. Reporting this company to the BBB and every site I can find.
Yep. These are complete crap. Everything you read in the one star reviews is also my experience. I’m wondering how much money this company ran off with after shipping us out lights that probably cost .10 cents to make. I’m disputing the charge with my credit card company. That is your only hope of getting your money back.
When you look at the website, the lanterns are large and clear. When you actually see the product, it's about 1/4 the size and it's made of frosted plastic. It does not match the ad. They did give me a refund, but would not acknowledge that their descriptions were inaccurate.
The goods delivered are different from those sold in the pictures. The Kaliqo™ Solar Lantern Outdoor Lights ordered are approx. 25x25x35cm in the picture compared to the person holding them. What I received was not even half that size, approx. 10x10x20cm, and with milky glass instead of clear glass. When I asked about it, they just replied with the dimensions of what they had sent and did not address the discrepancy between the picture and the actual product. If you then want to return the item, customer service makes it as difficult as possible for the customer at every turn. All the communicated benefits of buyer protection are useless if you treat customers like this and reply that they can send the item back from Germany to the US at their own expense. They would then process the return after receipt and according to their own guidelines. I can already imagine where that will lead. In the end, I'll be arguing about a refund for improper return shipping, and before that, I'll be chasing the shipment tracking until the goods have traveled halfway around the world again, hoping that they will arrive.
Don’t waste your money. They are SMALL! Not anywhere the size they picture. The plastic(not glass) is frosted so you really can’t see a flame as shown in the video and picture. If it was a quarter of the price … maybe somewhat acceptable. But REALLY… NOT WORTH THE $$$
