Review Time
I love the bags, but my second order has been disappointing. I ordered it back on 2nd Sept. Website says shipping confirmation within min 48 hours. 3 days later I get an email saying it will be delayed but they’re working on it. It will be a further 5 days tomorrow and no further update and I can’t contact them. All links on the website route only to the FAQ. I can’t seem to get to the chatbot, find an email address or phone number. Nothing. I have no way of chasing this order or even asking for a refund. When will companies realise that customer service is everything. It’s a shame that both reviews I’ve written recently have been about poor service.
i had placed two different orders on the same day on the second of september. however, when i got my parcel there was only one of them. i still dont have the second one and im going on a vacation on the 10th. the delivery was already delayed. i hated this experience and am very dissatisfied.
When ordering they promise delivery of up to 5 days. Well tomorrow is the 5th day and my order has not even been shipped yet. Since I ordered it specifically for a trip I contacted their support team (which itself was a hassle since they refer you to FAQ and Chatbot everywhere, no direct email) to inquire about estimated delivery time and received no answer. 100 euros for a backpack and this level of service?.. It looks like a scam with a lot of money put into advertising to look legit.Edit: Asked for a refund since the bag was not even shipped at the time and I had to buy another bag for my trip. They "accepted" my request but have not returned the money. Instead they shipped the bag 3 days later. I haven't received the bag, nor the refund, nor anyone from their side has contacted me about this (unless you consider their "sorry about your experience" on Trustpilot as contact). I recommend to avoid this brand.
UK customers need to be aware of the whopping customs charges they need to add on to Kapten and Son prices if they order from the German website and on orders over £130. There is nothing in their website for UK customers. I paid £47 extra for a bag that cost £159.90. I would never had placed an order with K and S if I’d known this was the case. There was no communication after the order had been shipped until a letter arrived by post from Parcelforce(1 week after K and S said that the order had been shipped) stating that I could only have my goods once I had paid customs. Then K and S contacted me asking for a review. The only communication in nearly two weeks. Well if you’re a UK customer, don’t buy anything from them over £130 unless you’re happy to pay a load more when your order reaches the UK.Having submitted this review of K and S , I’ve now read the other 1 star reviews and wish I’d read them earlier. Good advice for UK customers. You will pay a hefty extra charge on orders over £130. There are better and cheaper bags elsewhere. I can’t even face opening the package to look at this bag atm. It could be a complete waste of over £200. K and S don’t seem too bothered when they reply to poor reviews. Another good reason for UK customers to steer clear. Just opened the package today and I would give the bag 5 stars, as it’s exactly what I wanted and well designed for many uses. I ordered it to use as my cabin bag on short and long haul flights. However, I’m sticking with one star for the reasons above.
Placed an order early September and still have not received the order. The website states dispatch within 48 hours, this is clearly a lie.Customer service is appalling, you can’t call or use the chat bot and emails take days to be acknowledged without any solution. Asked for a refund but refused so I’m out of pocket without a product.
