The crew were 'Cleber - leader, Josif, Matt, Craig, Jayden, Nacha, Will.'During interactions Cleber made me feel like he and his team were doing their utmost best for my move after having made it clear (& I believed him feeling guilty) it was my fault the truck was overloaded and had an accident................................................................................ My parents used Kent to relocate to Victoria and 1 container has never showed up. It took so much time and stress for them to receive compensation.By mistake ( not realising it was Kent they used) in 2021 (July) I used Kent for my move to the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane.I had engaged a quote from their own team, the lady who did the quote was very thorough and we went through every cupboard, drawer and the shed & garage together. The quote was significant but i trusted the brand and her assessment and went with it.Moving day came: 3/4’s through the move it was all stop. I was informed I must have more gear than the assessment and made to feel like I had somehow snuck a full extra truckload into my inventory. I was told they had to get an additional truck and wanted a large amount of money immediately or the alternative was they will take what they have packed already and I can make my own arrangements to move the rest. A shakedown for sure but what choice did i have? I paid. Next- NO TRUCK ARRIVED AT MY NEW ADDRESS & no call or contact at any time to update me.I rang Kent. Was told truck was in an accident (!!!) but would arrive the next day. I asked same truck? or new one? where are my belongings? ( yes before that checked all were ok…).Next Day- Truck arrives, (btw am pretty sure it was the same truck) and same crew. Boss of crew who shook me down the day before tells me the truck had an accident as the brakes failed due to it being overloaded with my gear!Attitude of team was terrible. It was raining and they did not have the mattress or art work in plastic/boxes as I had requested, then they rested the mattress in mud and water at back of truck. There is more!I spent countless hours writing & responding to emails and speaking with Qld State Manager on the phone. Never an apology or any restitution nor explanation. Qld State Manager aggressive and bullish toward me on the phone, when I called him on his attitude he responded his attitude is because he is used to dealing with unreasonable people all the time. I asked if he felt I was being unreasonable? He said no. I asked him to modify his behaviour toward me then and he did. Still no outcome though despite his promise of some restitution for our disgraceful experience. Finally- our new home wasn’t finished (painting) so most furniture was stacked, covered in sheets and left as is for some time (weeks). Upon unwrapping found all the bedroom solid timber furniture split, dented and damaged conducive to having been in an accident or poorly packed ( said our SCorp insurance assessor).Response from Kent? Crickets.Do your research before engaging this organisation. Oh… added insult to injury! When we went to move the furniture with our brand new trolley it was gone and in its place was an old one with a broken wheel (bent/ falling off) that I had seen Kent staff using! (I have everything diarised- names, phone records, conversations, photos)
FANTASTIC! Not only was Kent the best price, their attention to detail and customer-focus was evident from quote to delivery. We only have praise for all the Kent staff we dealt with and, given everything went to plan, must assume the staff ‘behind the scenes’ were also on top of their game. So, if you’re on the move, we highly recommend you consider Kent Removals & Storage. Thanks heaps!
There are a number of reasons that we have given Kent Removals & Storage a 5 Star Rating. The first reason is the office staff that handled our booking were excellent and their attention to detail was first class, they kept us informed of the details. The second reason was the effort the two Crew members, both New Zealanders were excellent. On the day that we were scheduled to have our furniture removed was a very poor rainy day, it rained all day. We were originally booked for an early afternoon removal. However, they called us around midday to advise us that they might not get to us until late afternoon. It had rained all day in Sydney. As it turns out they didn't get to our place till 5:30pm and it was still raining. When they arrived, they apologized for the delay. So they got to work. They did a full inspection of what had to be done. I helped to move some of the light objects to the front door of the apartment block, while they dealt with the larger products. They did a wonderful job, keeping in mind they had two other jobs completed on a rainy day before they arrived. They put the last items on the truck at 11:00pm. What a day, my wife and I agreed to give the lads a good tip for working through the whole day. Before they left, they commented that they had to leave early the next morning for a job in Wollongong. I hope Kent Removals gave them a good tip also.Thank you to the two New Zealanders. And a BIG THANK YOU TO KENT REMOVALS. Michael and Cathy Horne
