I can’t tell you how much I regret using this Company, if I could give zero stars, I would. My brother died suddenly in Tasmania and as he had no family there I had to arrange for all his belongings to be shipped to his family in the UK. I was assured by the assertions on Kent's website that they would do the job well plus they were AFRA accredited which gave us reassurance that it would be done professionally and to a high standard. This couldn’t have been further from the truth. Precious antiques that my brother had spent his life collecting were treated with utter disrespect. Items weren’t sufficiently packaged; a lot of fragile items weren’t marked ‘fragile’ and the few boxes that were marked ‘fragile’ were stacked with really heavy items on top. This resulted in the most precious items arriving in the UK smashed beyond repair. In addition to this, despite the high quote which was for the whole house to be emptied, the removalists refused to take a huge amount of items as said they hadn’t been in the original quote!I then had the long, drawn-out process of trying to claim for the broken items, this process once again was treated with contempt. Over the course of the next few months, several Insurance agents left the Company and I was passed around from one agent to another with none of them taking my claim or complaint seriously. Despite paying nearly $5,000 for the insurance, I was eventually offered less than half the value of the broken items, the Insurance agents tried to find cheap alternatives to unique priceless antiques.In the end I took my case to AFRA for their mediation service but sadly AFRA didn’t seem to take the complaint seriously either and took Kent’s side that they had taken the items they had quoted for and as such had fulfilled their side of the agreement. In the end Kent didn’t even receive so much as a slap on the wrist from AFRA for their unprofessionalism and incompetence. Don’t feel that as Kent are AFRA affiliated, they will adhere to any industry standard of service. They won’t. I have found them to be dishonest, unprofessional, careless and unapologetic.In the end, we accepted a pitiful sum of compensation and insurance as we felt we couldn’t afford to take this case to litigation. This whole process has been deeply upsetting and traumatic for my family in the UK, as if losing my brother wasn’t enough, to have the people we hired to take care of his precious belongings treat the job with such contempt has been heart-breaking.
The most dreadful experience I have ever had unprofessional without any integrity whatsoever the removalists tried there best to pick up relocation into Brisbane storage than told to leave what there doing they had another job my 25 meters pick up turned into 6 to 8 meters fully paid for as I had other belongings in storage that I'm still waiting to ge delivered after another 3months charged had my accounts deducted from 3 different keys department for services never received I've paid my relocation in full two months prior to job being allocated as promised and now I've been given additional account for just under three grand than another bill for storage whil they decide on my good being delivered one's again I don't hold out any hope for my belongings after last Thursday the two men had no interest in being polite or careful with my belongings and couldn't give me any details why I only had 6meters delivered damaged and than being told it never happened but send additional billing Kent's must be the removal specialists in scampers relocations how there aloud to continue operating is beyond me but I'm going to find out no shame at all on there dreadful customer service
To begin with the service from the team at kent were fantastic, then I paid the invoice, and from then on, the service completely disappeared. If I wanted to know anything about the move, I had to ring head office several times to get the information, this included trying to find out where the packing materials and boxes were, so we could actually pack our belongings, of which only the boxes arrived, and we ended up paying for the bubble wrap and tape ourselves. They never even confirmed when the truck and removalists would arrive, without us chasing for several days prior.Since the move we have sent feedback to kent, and their customer service team have called several times to ask for more information, but the only offer made to make things right was $50 to cover the packaging materials we had to payout for, given the packaging materials came to more than 3 times this, we declined.This is the first time I've used a company to help me move, I would normally do it myself, but I thought paying someone else would be less stressful, I was wrong, and it has put me off ever using a service like this again.
Damaged the render of my house when moving and they refuse to repair it. The movers were not careful and were more interested in moving fast rather than taking care of our stuff. We had a broken lamp reimbursed in a timely manner, but it has been a year, and they have just decided to stop responding to emails about fixing it.

My recent relocation from Janie St Aspley, Queensland 4034 to Charlotte Avenue, Newcomb, Victoria, 3219 Geelong has transformed into an absolute nightmare due to their astounding level of negligence and incompetence.To my utter dismay, three essential items, including a red bag and two large boxes, mysteriously vanished during the move. What amplifies the gravity of this situation is the fact that these belongings housed a collection of irreplaceable original documents that hold immense personal and professional value to me. The loss encompasses vital documents such as my birth certificate, bachelor's and master's degrees, crucial academic records, over 40 Badminton state, national, and international certificates accumulated over 12 years, permanent residency documents, master's books, and cherished family photo frames.The magnitude of this loss cannot be overstated. These documents embody years of hard work, accomplishments, and cherished memories that have now been irretrievably shattered. It is incomprehensible that a professional relocation service could exhibit such flagrant disregard for the security and well-being of its customers' belongings. Their utter negligence has jeopardized my legal status, personal well-being, and future prospects.Despite my multiple attempts to address this dire matter with Kent Removals, their responses have been consistently unsatisfactory, lacking any sense of urgency. They have failed to undertake immediate and comprehensive action to locate and return my missing items—an appalling display of irresponsibility. The utter lack of accountability and transparency further compounds the distress inflicted upon me by this profoundly distressing situation.I feel compelled to caution anyone contemplating availing themselves of Kent Removals' relocation services. Their reckless mishandling of belongings and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction raise grave concerns. Entrusting them with your possessions exposes you to an unnecessary risk that may result in irreparable loss and hardship.Given the sheer incompetence demonstrated by Kent Removals and the significant consequences I now bear, I implore them to rectify this situation without delay. I demand a meticulous investigation into the whereabouts of my missing belongings, accompanied by appropriate compensation for the immeasurable inconvenience, distress, and potential harm inflicted by their actions.Until such time as a satisfactory resolution is reached, it is my moral duty to discourage others from placing their trust in Kent Removals. Their evident lack of professionalism and integrity has marred what should have been a straightforward and stress-free relocation experience.
Second time used Kent in the Hunter Valley in NSW which went well. This time around from Sunshine Coast QLD to Perth WA...appalling!! Lost items on a second load, finally found in Melbourne, arrived in Perth badly damaged, had been acknowledged by Kent, however insurance company now ignoring me after providing quote/s, photos, filling in required paperwork. After follow up, no response, no answers? Deeply regret using Kent!!
We moved with Kent from Australia to New Zealand. Sales and pick up team were great. After that, the lack of communication was scarce, they ask you multiple times to fill in forms which you have already done. We had paid extra to have our concrete dining room table crated. This wasn't done then subsequently was damaged in transit. Then because the way they have their insurance policy set out, of the $2000 we had it insured for we were only paid out $282 because I wrote "Dining table & 6 Chairs" on the form - the insurance sees this as a "pair" and divided the total by how many items. No where near covering the damage. Considering if it was crated the damaged wouldn't have happened I ask if there was anything more that could be done and was sent a generic copy and pasted reply saying no. I understand that this was my error but given the damaged would have 100% not happen if the item was crated I would have liked a bit more empathy other than refunding the price of the crating. So beware when filling in the insurance and itemise out your pairs so if anything is to happen you can get the right amount to pay for damage.
I recently moved my 4 bedroom house locally within Melbourne. Kent were great to deal with. Daniel came out and assessed our goods and was a pleasure to deal with. A special credit to the crew on the day the were professional and made the day that much less stressful. Thank you Kent.
Overall I am very happy with Kent’s services. I really enjoyed how they had a sales rep come out to my house to assess my belongings and to see how much stuff I needed to put into storage. The team on the uplift day we courteous and really seemed like they knew what they were doing! Thank you Kent Relocation Group.
It all started with the removalists being very late. And when they arrived there were only 3 guys for a 5-bed move - they seriously underestimated the amount of items, despite sending a rep out to visit. The move out of the house was estimated at 4-hours but ended up being over 10hours!!! They had to send another truck they messed it up so badly. While I was at our old house helping the extra guys, the first team just dumped everything in one room and left saying they were told to. They just left boxes and most of the furniture in one despite it being 9.30pm and still lots to do - that was a really low act, so shonky. The second couple of guys helped but I sent home at midnight as I was so exhausted - I did as much carrying as the staff because I had to were so slow. We had to get Airtaskers into finsih the job the next day (which they are refunding) but it was a complete organisational and operational balls-up at all levels, coupled with poor attitude from the first team. I've used them before but will never again and do not want others to experience what we went through. I wrote a pretty explosive email and cc'd a lot of people within the organisation and thankfully got prompt responses from senior team members. They are having an internal investigation about this job it was so bad - I hope they change their systems for everyone's sake.
