Shame I can’t give a minus it’s that bad ! Firstly it’s not necessarily a free survey as advertised .. I paid £168.00 for a ‘ survey ‘ where they ‘ found damp ‘ where no other company did ( funny that ) and their estimate was 3 times that of any other company ! They may have slick literature and proactive sales force but this is just smoke and mirrors to cover their extremely poor customer services .. many unanswered calls and waited 11 days for a refund . Would never use again or recommend to my worst enemy .. a con !!
Kenwood did an excellent job of damp proofing on our property nearly 14 years ago but when I had a query following a recent surveyor's report they could not have been more helpful. Having contacted them via their website I received a follow-up email and then a call from Chis Allum, Customer Services Manager.This was excellent customer service that is increasingly rare these days.
Kenwood has ruined my rental set up. I committed to spening nearly 7k on a damp course, which has left me with recurrent damp patches. The aftercare, and the one particular person (Christopher Allum) whom I have been left to deal with, is rude, stubborn and seems to hate communicating with his customers. There has evolved to be a new intensively damp patch, as they decided to leave a single small 1ft area untreated, right in the middle of the wall. So all the moisture has been now capillaried to that spot. Its a direct result of their poor decision making on my job. They have made me pay twice 180 to revisit and discuss things, so thats £360!!! Just to communicate! Are wont take any responsibility for their work, and keep sending me week late monosyllabic and rude replies offering to quote me for new works. A guy came to review the job yesterday, who seemed nice, and verbally admitted that they should have included that small area in the works, so he would try to help me, but yet again Christopher Allum, who I would never want to deal with again, has shut all of it down and offered to quote me for works. 7K!! PLus horrific after care.. and £360 for even a conversation. And still a damp house, that the council is now on my case about. Never using Kenwood again. feel like its a power game rather than customer service, They have clearly screwed up.
I sent a request and was called back immediately. After sending images, I got a call from Jim O'Malley who, after look v at our images, gave me some very helpful advice, advising that our problem probably isn't a damp issue and we need another professional. He could easily have come out, charged us a survey fee and then said the same thing but he didn't. Extremely helpful and professional and wouldn't hesitate recommending Kenwood for one second!
Glenn & Dan dream teamThis was our second time using Kenwood. We chose them because their work is high standard, comes with guarantees and very professional. We had to damp proof a lot of our ground floor, a job that apparently is normally done when there are no dwellers. Glenn & Dan were knowledgeable, lovely and efficient and worked around a 4 person family containing and clearing all dust. Our one hiccup was on day one when we found out the job would take longer than the office described and that we had to remove radiators. This information was in the original report but buried in 17 pages of info. I'd recommend the office to ensure customers have read your small print and as a customer ask for the dream team Glenn & Dan
