We had a good experience using Kenwood for a long standing damp problem which other contractors failed to resolve.Jim was always available for advice and reassurance, and the team comprising Michael and Andy was professional, worked very efficiently and they were happy to answer any questions during the process. Although it was a dusty job, they did a good job covering our floor and furniture, and the clean up afterwards was not as bad as anticipated!Although Kenwood is a large company, it is well run, and the office staff (Kelly, Agata) were always able to respond to questions and send paperwork through quickly. We received a personal service.
The surveyor was at my property for about 15 mins and the report came back within hours with blurry photos which I think indicates the complete lack of thoroughness. The recommendation was (of course) a damp proof course for rising damp. I have since commissioned a water damage report from an independent company who don't sell any remediation products and they have concluded that the main issues are the result of internal water leaks and they don't believe there is rising damp. They were at the property for 2 hours and used thermal imaging devices.The survey from Kenwood was completely inaccurate and it was quite obvious they just wanted to sell me a damp proof course for thousands of pounds which it turns out I don't needvery poor - I do not recommend these people - be very careful - this is borderline fraud
I recently had a surveyor from Kenwood PLC, Mr. Marcus, visit my property to inspect some damp issues. Unfortunately, during his visit, he accidentally broke the lid of my vintage Chinese vase that holds significant sentimental and monetary value. The incident occurred in the presence of my husband.Mr. Ford never offered a verbal apology, neither to me nor my husband and carried on with the survey as if nothing happened. I reported the incident the same day. After nearly a month and many chase ups, I haven't had the issue resolved for compensation. While I'm being inundated by marketing emails/calls, Kenwood failed to show the same urgency in addressing the damage caused by their employee. Needless to say the quote I received ftom them is at the higher end and not competitive either.I am appalled by the whole experience and feel compelled to write a review to warn people of such ill practices by Kenwood PLC.
