Like the scammers they allow on their website, Kickstarter has 0 accountability. When things go south, they tell backers it's none of their business and to contact the creators themselves. Meanwhile the creator has appeared sporadically to give vague assurances but progress on the project has been halted for 1 and a half years and ongoing. So Kickstarter gleefully collects the 5% and does nothing to protect backers.I've lost all faith with the kickstarter platform and frankly, they should be boycotted. I cant wait for the day where someone successfully sues and wins a court case against them and they get shutdown or face hefty penalties.

2.5 million dollar Superscreen project just up and cancelled no refunds no help no one taking responsibility. Kickstarter is nothing more than a platform for scammers. This was my first and last use of it.

Backed a project called super screen and have lost a few hundred dollars as the team behind it has spent $2.5 million dollars on what appears to be nothing. Kick starter should hang there heads in shame!

Its a SCAM and ill tell you whyBacked a project 1 year ago and today, ive finally received my product. Poor communication all the way and THE PRODUCT DOESNT WORKWhen you think it doesnt get worse, kickstarter completely dont care and will not refund or take any actions

Be very careful

Be very careful, some great projects HOWEVER ! Kickstarter do not care about you getting anything I personally have had a campaign which turned out to be a blatant scam and their was 0 work ever completed, I later found out these individuals have previously ran two other scam campaigns with 0 consequences and can only assume Kickstarter will allow them to happily scam further people.

A truly amazing platform

Crowdfunding projects are risky by nature, and like always, the loudest cried come from the dissatisfied (hence the other reviews). But it's a fantastic platform - and a company that puts community at the core. There has been - and continues to be several success stories on Kickstarter. Just do your due diligence before you pledge.

Kickstarter supports scamsIt's unfortunate but it's true folks. The idea is great! Just take one look at the Filippo Loreti situation and it's clear to see that Kickstarter is OK with known scammers using their platform to screw the consumer

Zero support for backers.Only BS canned responses from support. They blatantly defend and support projects that are clearly scams and defrauding people.
