I'm using several cloud storage providers.Koofr is between the best one.I got the 1TB via stacksocial (Nov 2019) and the space redeem was very easy.Below some pros and conspros:1) continuous app dev2) Multiplateform apps (I'm linux user!)3) Very very good up/download speeds!4) Easy to use app et web app5) Webdav support6) 2FA support7) Support answers very promptly8) European Datacenterscons:1) Lack of private key encryption2) Lack of client-side encryptionI'll continue using this fantastic cloud storage service as long as it will be in production :)Thank you koofr and keep doing that good job!Michail
HIGHLY RECOMMEND KOOFR!Koofr is the most innovative Cloud Storage solution there is. Their team works very hard to deliver for their users. I love how it integrates with Office & other common cloud drives. They're pro-privacy, and don't even track you. Your data is encrypted at rest, using AES256, and using TLS while in transit. This naturally means it's safe/secure. It won't be "disappearing" like someone here claims happened (he was trying to fool Koofr, using fake accounts to get more space and his fake accounts were revoked).I've tried it too before, just comes to show that Koofr takes security very seriously.
I was looking for the best and private cloud storage, at first i choose icedrive, but their customer service is really slow, and sometimes not even replying. Then i went to pcloud, but i read a lot of comment saying their account is deleted because pcloud sniffing through user data looking for copyright stuff. And then i found koofr, man, i am really glad that i found this service, they are FAST at responding email, their upload and download speed is quite good for me. Their privacy policy is on point!, there is no other cloud storage that claim they have zero tracking on user other than koofr.
I've tried a lot of cloud solutions until I finally found Koofr. I really like their privacy policy, and clearness about all data procession and protection. Yes, there are much cheaper competitors (price per GB) who are also offering zero-knowledge encryption. However, I think you can't trust only one provider at all. If you want to hide your sensitive data, use another open-source application to make them unreadable and then upload them to the cloud, or just keep offline copies only. It's not difficult for a single cloud entity to make changes in code and steal your private keys at any time. But Koofr is about something different. They protect your data against loss, offer multiple handy features, provide endless possibilities for sharing files among family, friends, and colleagues, and finally, the most important thing - it's working everywhere and anytime. And what are the best Koofr's features in keywords - fast and flawless experience, clean and nice UI, automatic folder sync, sharing fully under control, receiving files through the folder link (no registration for the 2nd party required), integration with other cloud services and MS Office Online, remote access to local desktop folders, WebDAV support, a wide range of paid plans, and plenty of helpful tutorials.P.S. Koofr saved me from downloading 40 GB of study materials from my university's Google Drive and reuploading them to personal cloud. It took only one single integration with Google Account, and all the stuff was performed in the background (server-side). Thanks, guys!
I started an free account as a trial, invited friends and got 10GB of space. After I copied all of my files to the space (around 9GB), all of a sudden the space went back to 2GB. I realized this when files where missing when syncing to my laptop. So I lost 7GB of my files without any notification at all! Luckily I still had a backup of these files and was able to retrieve them. I also haven't received any message why my space was being limited to 2GB, even though I wrote to support. No way I will use this service anymore when you cannot 100% rely on all of your files being stored.Reply on Koofr:100% incorrect. The 10GB space was filled with various pictures and documents. Only after syncing them with the laptop, I saw they were missing. In any case where does it state that when friends are deleting their account, you also lose your extra space? From your website: You and your friend will receive 2 GB extra (forever) free space when they accept the invite and start using Koofr.Your actions would indicate you could never rely on this extra space and should hope your friends keep their account. So forever is not forever. And where was the message or notification on all this?Reply #2:What a way to treat a customer. I wanted to get a subscription after having a trial of the service, but instead it resulted in a request for removal of my account. Way to go Koofr! The reason for one star is because online storage should be reliable. Always and 100%. In your case it is not. It might happen that space is being removed from your account without receiving any notification at all. Reliability and communication is everything, especially in cloud storage.I see data loss happened to another person as well, luckily I still had a backup myself.Reply #3:Ah wow, Koofr decided to remove both of their previous replies and write a complete new one. Classy. If only you would have put all this effort in simply contacting me before you decided to remove 8GB from my space, you would still have a (probably paying) customer.Instead I have to find out myself that files are missing when I'm in the middle of uploading 9GB of important and personal files to the Koofr webspace. And only find out the reason when I contact you and write a bad review on Trustpilot. And the first thing you do is accusing me of doing something illegal (written about me in 3rd person). This is also an unacceptable move for me and this low level of service and communication reflects on your product.I'm not convinced you are really sorry to see me leave, else you would have approached it differently. Anyway, I'm happy I didn't spend money just yet, and will find another, reliable provider with a good service. Just wanted to warn others that if Koofr only thinks you are doing something illegal (there goes your privacy), you could have storage space removed from your account without any warning. Or even have your account deleted completely (including all of your files!) as stated in their latest reply.
Pros:1. High Speed2. Best UI, UX I've seen3. Managing other Could services and moving files between them4. Very Affordable5. Great Customer ServiceCons:1. No app for android TVI understand it is useless for most people to have it on android TV but in my case it would have been great to watch videos directly from cloud on my android tv
Great support, fast respons by mail. Great upload speeds, great apps and great integrations with other service, like Air Live Drive,... Koofr has also a great focus on Privacy. A few tweakes on the Android app, would be nice, like sorting photos on creating date. I think it is not possible yet. And some little adjustments on pc app. Overall great!Little comment: Trustpilot says that this is an invited review. Not true, I was here for an other review from an other company.
