I'm very happy with the service, works perfect from any device. This for uploading and/or accessing the files. You can share files or directory with others without any problem.Linking and accessing other services from Koofr is another great feature.
Bought the 1TB lifetime plan ($159.99), and am now using Koofr to automatically back up my smartphone media which works well. Much cheaper than the $99 Google charges a year in the long run.Other than that, I like how there's an option to connect your Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive, so you can access all of them from your Koofr account.
What a horrible cloud! I used to trust this company very much but I've discovered they throttle bandwidth from my country. When I switch VPN to another country for example Australia, the speed increases up to 5 times. When I switch VPN to the same country as mine or turn off VPN, the bandwidth goes down significantly. I believe they also do the same to users in lots of other countries. They betray their customers in a cunning way.Don't buy this cloud.
Koofr it is a great company. The service is not the fastest on the world, but they're excellent people. I have a subscription with they and the only time that I needed support, they were fast and nice.I can't recommend enough this company. The cloud storage works flawlessly. I have several accounts since 2020 and I am happy. If you need cloud storage and you're in doubt with Koofr, just give them it a try. It worth it.I love you guys, you deserve more love.
After testing several clouds, I decided now to change to Koofr. After some tests I am really satisfied with the service.Pro:- Nice and easy style of the Cloud-Webportal with all functions what you need- As linux user, on other clouds I was disappointed with several sync clients. Koofr Sync Client does exactly what I want (you can compare it with Nextcloud Client).- Good working Webdav-Functions and Speeds- Excelent Android-App with all functions you need.- High Security Standard, Serverside Encryption- Additional Feature: Vault (End to End Encryption) - for those who need itWhat would be nice to have:- dark mode in Webplatform as well as in Android-AppSo, I really can recommend Koofr.
Before using Koofr, I used Google Drive and OneDrive with SyncBackPro for data backup. However, in pursuit of better privacy, I chose Koofr. But when using SyncBackPro, Koofr's operation is not perfect, and there are many serious problems, as follows:1. The upload speed is ridiculously slow with the WebDAV protocol. Uploading a single file is ok, but if you try to upload 10000 files of the same size using the mirror scan, be prepared to scan for several days to complete.2. The numbers of local and cloud files can never match correctly. The above problems are basically not problems with Google Drive and OneDrive (especially the second point). Although I have also tried other software, such as FreeFileSync, Air Explorer, Duplicati, RaiDrive, etc., their effects are not good.Just when I was about to give up Koofr as my data backup, I happened to be browsing Koofr's blog. Koofr's blog mentioned that rclone uses the Koofr API instead of that very bad WebDAV protocol. Although I was very unwilling, I still reluctantly started to learn rclone. It took me about 1-2 weeks to learn the functions required by rclone. When using it, I found that rclone and Koofr are really perfect together and can solve the above two problems. WebDAV can only handle one at a time, but rclone can handle dozens at a time. I was genuinely shocked when I first saw it.Summary---------------------------------------------------------Koofr, unlike Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox, lacks extensive third-party app support. Often, the only option is to connect through WebDAV, which can be a nightmare with numerous files.Without rclone, Koofr is just an ordinary cloud supplier, and its performance and speed cannot match well-known brands such as Google Drive and OneDrive, etc (5~6/10)But with rclone, Koofr's performance and speed have made a qualitative leap, plus privacy is undoubtedly the best. (10/10)Off-topic----------------------------------------------------------WebDAV login requires caution. Regretfully, WebDAV settings are hard to configure. If you make a mistake multiple times, you will be locked for an hour. This is a really frustrating feature; however, it seems like other cloud providers on Google Search are having this issue as well, so it is not just for Koofr.
Due to a mishap (via Google account, I prédered with my email address), I deleted my account and attempted to re-register. The message indicates that j can no longer reuse my email address and Simon from Koofr refuses to addresses the issue and suggests creating a fake address. This is utter nonsense... pCloud is a good alternative to Koofr
