Outstanding service with great customer…

Outstanding service with great customer support. Possibly the best privacy policy I have ever seen on a cloud service. I look forward to seeing how the service progresses over the years.

Clean, Efficient, and Functional

The cloud storage is a great product. I purchased a lifetime deal, will this company last a long time?

Slow, inneficient and poorly coded

Their KooFr client is REALLY inefficient and even unusable in some case. Please note that I've edited my review fully; their answer below is completely obsolete.• Slow speed:They cap your upload speed at around 10MB/s, arguing a fair-use policy. In reality, they seem to have such a limited bandwidth that they have to restrict users. Here is exactly what the support said: "Bandwidth is distributed by fair use policy among all active users and average speeds are usually LIMITED per user between 10-20MB/s at most times"In comparison, some of their competitors (like Mega) let you upload at around 80MB/s or more.• No transparency:In term of privacy, they haven't been audited. They haven't published a whitepaper to explain HOW exactly they protect your data (their competitors like ProtonDrive, Mega or Filen have all published whitepapers to explain their encryption methods).Besides, they rely on server-side encryption by default (whereas their competitors use zero-knowledge encryption)• Client missing basic functionalities:Their client doesn't show the ETA of uploads/downloads clearly. If you want to have that information you HAVE to use external tools, like Rclone (or read all the log files)...When using the network drive, the client cache everything on your C: drive.Want to change that? Impossible.Example: If you want to upload a 50GB folder, it will be copied to your C: drive THEN uploaded to KooFr. You don't have that space? Too bad for you.• Service poorly coded:When trying to synchronize a large folder with only 50 files, it took HOURS for the client to realize that 47 files were already uploaded. Why did it take hours to compare 50 files and upload the 3 remaining ones...• Customer service:Besides, when you leave a negative review, they try to flag it for defamatory content (I'm not the only one, if you read the other reviews). How can you trust such a company?• Good news:If you've purchased a lifetime plan through StackSocials, you can get a refund.

Great service and great team

Great privacy-oriented service, great team and i really hope they don't sell out or go out of business. It's rare to see a service that offers lifetime plans that isn't actually a scam.

Excellent Choice for Online Storage!

I've tried numerous online storage services, but Koofr remains my top pick. Its ease of use, robust data privacy features, and seamless connectivity to other cloud services make it a standout. Setting up WebDAV on other apps was also straightforward. Koofr strikes the perfect balance between functionality and simplicity as well. Data privacy is paramount when it comes to online storage, and Koofr's commitment to security and GDPR compliance gives me peace of mind.

Excellent Privacy-Centric Cloud Storage

Koofr is a great cloud storage company that I've been a loyal customer of since 2022 which is when I purchased their 1TB lifetime plan. Their service was so great that I ended up upgrading my plan to 2.5TB back in 2023. The Koofr desktop software is intuitive and useful (no bugs at all in my use) and I like how transparent the company is along with their focus on privacy and security. I only wish they would offer a 5TB upgrade plan for lifetime users since I've unfortunately saturated my 2.5TB of space in my Koofr account as of this review since I like using Koofr's cloud storage so much!

Dont bother contacting support

Dont bother contacting support, they are rude and don't understand the customer comes first. Upload and download also slow. Do not offer discount (not even a few %) for lifetime customers. I moved to another provider and have been very happy. Update 1: Heavy discount rubbish, 1TB £150, then upgrade to XXXL 2.5TB would have cost me another £250 .... so I would have spent total around £400!Another provider was 2TB was £279.00 - So I should actually thank you for saving me money!Update 2: Koofr are so pathetic they did the following "koofr.eu has flagged your review for containing advertising or promotional content." Think twice before using this company!

Excellent services

Affordable and convenient solution to make all my cloud data available at single place. The user interface could be made more easy like p cloud’s user interface.

Happy with koofr service

I got koofr in 2021 while looking for some no-fuzz storage offer with privacy in mind. It ticked all the boxes and works so far. Some welcome functionality gets added over time (e.g. it is in active development) and works fine with common clients (I use Linux and Android mostly). The odd time I had to contact support I got a friendly and helpful reply.
