My experience with this company didn’t start well, as the lights took around three weeks to arrive, unbeknownst to me that they were coming from abroad. When my electrician attempted to install them, they were incorrect. The lights were advertised as waterproof, but the installation manual indicated they were not. I contacted the company, and they resolved the issue quickly, asking me to discard the incorrect lights. They issued a refund promptly, so although it was frustrating that we couldn’t install the lights, we did receive our money back. I recommend anyone buying to double-check the installation manual to ensure the lights meet the specifications.
The problem with this company is that they obviously don't have any UK stock so you order it and they pass the order on to China, who then send it to you from there so the whole thing takes an age. There is a 7-12 WORKING day despatch so could be almost 3 weeks and that's from when it's sent from China not when you place your UK order. I ordered on 30th October and no sign yet. Wish I'd read these reviews before I ordered.
Ordered two lights on 05/10/25 they've not arrived yet, emailed to ask for update and been on chatbot over 5 times with not one response. The tracking provided says Royal Mail and doesnt exist be very careful ive paid £267 and feel ive been scammed Order LPUK28751
Subsequent to my review of Lampsmodern They posted a very nice response saying they were sorry I’ve had a bad experience etc. however they have still not got back to me to tell me how to return my goods and get a refund. So so bad. Don’t buy anything from them.
I have received the order after a long wait, I now want to return the item but they are not providing me with the information to return, I have emailed numerous times and called numerous times and had no response, do not order from here they are a scam! Luckily I have purchased through Klarna so they can investigate, please be aware anyone!
The website looks like a UK site. But be aware these lights ship from China. If you have a problem and want to return the lights you need to send them back to China at your own expense. They do not have a UK return address. I had two lights that arrived that did not match description and one of those was damaged. The only way to get refund is to send them back at my own expense. Which is nearly as much as what I paid for the lights. My advice is to give this company a wide berth and find a genuine UK company instead.
