Scam. They sent us a fake lamp and then pretended to give us a refund when we reported it fraud to our credit card company. Then they told us our credit card company was withholding the funds. Then we passed the period where our card could refund us because of this. Avoid at all costs. We've been fighting them since October.Edited to reply to Lamps Modern: oh yeah? Because our bank said that your suggestion to wait a few months until the matter was closed is EXACTLY why we couldn't get our money back. Because you were putting us off until the matter was closed. There are ways to refund people their money for a faulty broken product (our lamp arrived broken). Find a way to do that. It's been since October and we haven't seen a cent. And by the way, we still have your broken lamp in our garage.
Absolute fraud…..BEWARE.Bought from this company as they call themselves lamps modern UK. They are not in the UK. Emails from their customer service come through the night, the product is made and shipped from China.We have emailed and asked for a refund they are avoiding this trying to resolve the matter by offering 30% discount to keep an item I don’t want as it is so badly made and plastic!They are saying I have to arrange and pay for postage back to China to return item but even though I ask that I want to return item they don’t provide me with the details to send item back to. Yet according to their website hassle free returns within 30days of delivery.I wish I had researched this company first, for example if you look at the number of countries they don’t ship to (virtually the whole world) this is a massive red flag.Now started process with card to claim money back.Just responding to the company’s response to me saying they adhere to their 30 day returns guarantee. I’ve sent in excess of 10 emails in less than two weeks saying I want to return item and asked for address and to this day I’m still waiting for it, luckily I have emails for proof to support my claim with my bank.They wonder why customers use such bad words about them, mmmm really!!!
Terrible decision and sadly a real scam. No real tracking number, and refused to return the money after I requested cancellation. FB shows a TX address but says it is a company operated in China. That wouldn’t be a problem if they actually make the appropriate products they advertise. Unfortunately, no, they only want to give me $20 on a $200 purchase. Very sad.
DON’T BUY FROM THEM - Waited ages to receive the lighs when they did turn up they are made really badly, supposed to be circular down lights but aren’t even round, so who knows what the state of the wiring is like. Company is refusing to refund me instead they have offered to send out some more, but really not worth risking dodgy electric lights burning my house down thank you. Or they said the only way I can have a full refund is by sending them back to China and I would have to pay the return postage cost. The lights are faulty so I should have to pay anything and am entitled to a full refund including the postage. So have now started a card dispute to get my money back. EDIT: Anyone reading this can now see Lampsmoderns reply to my review. Don’t let this fool you into thinking they are a company worth dealing with. I have reached out to their customer service and have emails going back and forth. At the end of the day the lights are faulty so I am entitled to a full refund, I do not have to pay for the cost of returning the items to China they can arrange collection. Lampsmodern can’t just sell faulty items and not expect people to want a full refund. So save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere people.
They delivered my item to the wrong address. Despite me having a tracking photo and multiple resources proving they sent it to the wrong address they won’t issue me a refund. It’s been over a week now of back and forth emails saying they are struggling to get in touch with the courier, however, I can get through within half hour every time. Implies they aren’t even trying. My phone calls with the courier have concluded that the package was sent to their office in Hayes yet lampsmodern are in denial. I don’t have the light and it’s the companies fault, no mention of a resend and refusing a refund.Do not buy from here, terrible customer service.
Ordered two lamps, had one delivered and asked where the second one was. Was provided with a Royal Mail tracking which I can now see has been delivered in Scotland, I live in the midlands of England.I have requested a refund or a second lamp sent to me but I have had no response.In response to your reply, you said 2-3 last week and provided me a tracking number which has been delivered to Scotland, did you not want to reply to this part of my initial review?
Terrible company. Products ship from China, after you order - take forever..they cover themselves in small print not obvious to anyone. Look at the reviews - a deceptive and non customer focused company. Products are very low quality. You get what you pay for. AVOID this company..
