The closing mechanisms are extremely poor. The doors were marketed as "premium," which led us to invest extra for quality. However, within 18 months, the door started slamming shut. Customer service charged over $130 for a replacement closer and informed me it would take 10-14 days to ship. Is it really 1980? The "lifetime warranty" seems to only cover the door's structure. This was a regrettable purchase. Next time, I’ll choose a different brand!
The closing mechanisms are incredibly disappointing. The doors were marketed as "premium," so we decided to invest a bit more for quality. However, within just 18 months, the door began to slam shut. Customer service charged me over $130 for a replacement closer and mentioned it would ship in 10-14 days. Is it really still the 1980s? The so-called "lifetime warranty" seems to only cover the door's structure. What a poor decision this was. Next time, I’ll opt for a different brand!
The door arrived without a setscrew for the handle. After waiting 15 minutes on the phone for a replacement, I was told it wouldn't ship for 2 weeks. Three weeks later, I still hadn't received it. When I contacted support again, a very indifferent representative was not helpful at all. She mentioned it was backordered. When I asked if the handle could be sent, she replied, "we only replace the part that’s missing." Now, the expected delivery date is pushed back another 5 weeks, totaling around 2 months.
I ordered a replacement frame for a door over 35 years old. Not only did they have a retrofit option, but it fit perfectly! A minor miracle! I also want to acknowledge the customer service representatives I spoke with; they were knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely a 5-star experience.
We purchased a retractable screen door, but the screen came off. I ordered a replacement, but when it arrived, it was too tall. When I called customer service, the representative was very rude and refused to provide an RMA without pictures showing the issue. My handyman had already packaged it for return, and I explained this, but she insisted on needing pictures. Do they really think their customers would lie? I will not purchase from this brand again and will inform the retailer about their poor service.
I installed a Larson Signature Series door over the weekend and was very disappointed with the plastic trim caps covering the screws along the rails. They arrived twisted and were impossible to straighten. The design does not allow for proper installation as per the manual. I tried to contact support, but the automated system kept me on hold indefinitely. I left my number for a callback twice but never received one. I also tried to chat, but they wouldn’t send replacements without a receipt, which I no longer had. I just wanted simple plastic caps. I will be switching to a different brand moving forward.
I installed a Larson 50 full view storm door, which has interchangeable glass and a screen. However, they only provided retainers for the sides of the insert, causing the window to rattle when closed. This seems to be a known issue, as customer service had an immediate answer. I had to purchase an additional insert retainer for $36. Had I known this beforehand, I wouldn’t have chosen this brand. It's frustrating that they saved a few dollars at the factory and passed the cost onto me.
I installed the hidden closure and retractable screen in December. After about 4 months, the door started slamming shut. I checked the closure; it seemed fine, but after reinstalling, it worked for only a few days before slamming again. After several attempts, I finally unhooked the closure. The screen has come out of the track multiple times with just a bit of wind. The door looks nice, but I regret my purchase.
The door was installed in June '25. By October, the screen roller mechanism broke with small metal pieces flying out. It took nearly a month to get a replacement. The lock mechanism doesn't align properly to hold the glass up, and the kick panel came unglued. You’ll waste so much time sending them pictures and arguing. Their so-called "warranty" is essentially worthless. If you do purchase, make sure you have a cheap contractor ready for repairs because you’ll definitely need one! I now have a door that’s practically useless. A new panel costs $76, plus repair labor.
I purchased a high view storm door with a large pet door. The quality of the door was fine, but they advertise it as “Easyhang,” claiming you only need basic tools. However, I found the process cumbersome, with vague instructions. They didn’t clarify where to drill for the hinges, and the handle required a specific drill bit that wouldn’t fit a standard drill. It also didn’t mention needing a hammer/chisel for the striker plate. While it’s a good door, I’ve installed several storm doors before, and this one took two people 4 hours, so it’s far from Easyhang! More like HARDHANG!
