I ordered a large Lola's Red Velvet…

I ordered a large Lola's Red Velvet cake for £90 for my wifes birthday. I had previously in 2019 ordered a cake and it tasted fantastic.Unfortunately this time, the cake was well presented but was not of the quality of my previous experience. The taste of the cake failed to meet my expectations, the velvet cake and the cream fillings were both sub standard. Both myself and my wife were very disappointed. I opted for Lola's based on my original experience in 2019, unfortunately my experience in 2025 has left me feeling let down. Looking forward to your reply.

I feel that I was treated unfairly.

I registered as a member last year. On November 13th this year, I went to the Kingston store to collect my birthday cake, but the staff rudely told me that because my spending over the past year was too low, I could only receive a single cupcake.First, although my family bought cakes from your store more than once over the past year, I wasn’t the one who made the purchases, so my membership card wasn’t used and therefore no spending record appears.Second, I showed the staff your official terms and conditions, which do not state that a certain spending amount is required to receive the birthday cake. However, she ignored me completely and insisted, in a very rude manner, that I could only choose one cupcake.I feel that I was treated unfairly.

Lola's Cakes delicious and trustworthy

I have used Lola's before to deliver cakes to my family in the Devon region. Its wonderful to know that they can be trusted to deliver and produce tasty cakes as I am in Australia and have put a lot of faith in them. When my daughter received the cake she said it was very delicious and she shared it with many friends who also enjoyed it.

The cake was delicious and on time

The cake was delicious and on time. My only small criticism was that the main title did not specify it was ‘gluten free’. It was only obvious when I picked it up and the lady told me then. It was only when you dig down into the ingredients that this was specified. All other cakes did specify gluten free in the heading for the cake. Did not spoil the experience at all but just a piece of advice.
