I ordered a £230 blood test kit on January 29th to prepare for a doctor’s appointment on February 11th, allowing what should have been more than enough time.
The first kit never arrived and was apparently lost in transit. When I contacted customer service, a replacement was sent, but next-day delivery was refused unless I paid extra despite the original failure being outside my control.
Because of the delay, I had to reschedule a paid clinic appointment for the blood draw (£25). When the replacement kit arrived, I was advised to pay a further £13 for next-day return shipping to ensure sample stability over the weekend.
The laboratory confirmed receiving my sample on Monday. By February 18th, I still had no results and had to reschedule my doctor’s appointment again.
In total, this process has cost around £250, taken over two weeks, and still failed to deliver results in time for medical care. For a private service at this price point, the experience suggests a system that is not designed around reliability or urgent healthcare timelines.
I will not use this service again.
Have been using Medichecks for around 5 years now to monitor my health condition. I like their fast and easy service, wide range of tests available, responsive customer service and only positive experience.
For clarity, this review is for customer service prior to using the sample kit, which I have not yet done so cannot comment on. After waiting some time for my test to arrive, I checked my order and saw that my auto fill used a previous address. I explained to customer service that the sample kit had therefore been sent to the wrong address. The rep was extremely kind and resolved the issue immediately by sending another kit to my current address at no charge, and ensured anyone using the misdelivered kit would not benefit. All very smooth, kind, patient and helpful, and kit has now arrived. Could not have asked for more.

I relied on the company to provide an appropriate time. When the nurse called, she pointed out the timing issue and recommended rescheduling. She was professional, and I have no complaints about her. However, I was never informed that this would incur a charge. Had I known, I would have gone with the original appointment. Despite this, I was charged a £30 'Did Not Attend' fee, and the company refused to reconsider. Their response indicated it was my responsibility to verify everything, which feels unjust. The appointment should not have been arranged at an unsuitable time, and I shouldn’t be penalized for following the nurse's advice. It's not just about the fee; it's about poor coordination and a defensive customer experience. For a healthcare provider, this is quite concerning. I will not use this service again and cannot recommend it based on this experience.

The service was very quick to respond to my inquiries, providing prompt and informative replies. Everything seemed to operate smoothly with regular updates. I found the instructions straightforward, allowing me to prepare and send my package within just 10 minutes of receiving it. I also appreciated the discreet packaging, which arrived in a plain envelope without any sender details. The staff were outstanding—extremely helpful.
I received my blood draw kit quickly, even during the holiday season when postal services were slower. I opted to pay a bit more for a nurse to come to my home for the blood draw. The instructions were easy to follow, and the nurse was communicative and professional. She was very gentle and even mailed my sample after the visit! I haven't received my results yet, as they have just reached the lab, but I'm optimistic that the excellent service will continue.
