If I could rate them a zero, I would

If I could rate them a zero, I absolutely would. The quotes changed after I made the down payment, which would have been acceptable if they had informed me. They were 10 days late for delivery, and when they picked up my load, they were unaware they were supposed to pack it. We contracted for a full-service move, yet the remaining balance at delivery was $3,880 instead of the expected $1,436. Their business practices are extremely unscrupulous.

Poor Customer Experience

I faced significant delays with my delivery and received minimal responses to my inquiries. Overall, a very disappointing experience!

Avoid This Service!

If there was a rating lower than one star, this company would definitely receive it! My advice is to steer clear of this service. Don’t fall for their claims of being top-rated! Research thoroughly and read about the disastrous experiences others have had. Once they have your money, communication disappears; no calls, texts, or emails are answered. Customer service is non-existent, and the employees I spoke with were rude and unhelpful. Our move from one state to another turned into an absolute nightmare. They promised a sufficient truck and crew, but when the driver arrived, he claimed we had too much stuff and demanded extra payment. Our costs nearly doubled, and any challenges to their pricing were dismissed. I advise everyone to avoid this service!

Extremely Poor Experience

I experienced significant damage to my belongings, including art, lamps, glassware, and even a $2500 crystal vase. The subcontractor was terrible, and I was misled about the service handling my move. I submitted a full claim for the damages, but the insurance offered me only $200.

Avoid This Company

If I could give zero stars, I would. I moved from one state to another, and it has now been 34 days since my belongings were picked up. Despite numerous inquiries, I received no answers. I am left with an empty apartment and no idea where my items are. If you are considering this service, look elsewhere. It would be faster to handle your move yourself.

The Worst Decision Ever

Learn from my mistakes! This company was the worst choice I could have made. The sales staff are skilled at drawing you in, but once the move begins, everything is handled by incompetent contractors. The movers were unprofessional, leading to multiple issues. My moving cost jumped from $3,800 to $5,700, and my belongings were picked up but never delivered on time. Communication from the service was non-existent, and I regret not choosing a reliable company. I advise anyone moving to thoroughly vet their options and avoid this service.

A Disheartening Experience

My experience was filled with stress, misleading information, and disappointment. Key details, especially regarding insurance options, were not explained. I was never informed about the two types of insurance available, resulting in me being signed up for the lower-coverage option, leaving me with little recourse for the extensive damages. The initial estimate changed several times, each increase more shocking. After the down payment, I was told they wouldn’t load my items until the full balance—nearly four times the original estimate—was paid. This caused significant financial strain and forced me to extend my move-out date, resulting in extra rental costs. I was told my belongings would arrive within 10 days, but they held my items for nearly a month without communication. When they finally arrived, many boxes were crushed, and items were damaged. I had specifically instructed them on packing my artwork, but those instructions were ignored. The entire process felt unprofessional and careless. I strongly advise against using this service due to the lack of transparency and poor handling of my belongings.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. I write this review with a broken heart, disappointed, angry and appalled as the services I paid close to $10k was done with no regard for the well being of my items, I have never experienced a move so horrible. Many of my items were broken, A valuable painting gifted to me is missing along with several dresses (and a Moshions sweatshirt) made of african garms, my $3k beige couch is soiled, the floors and hardwood steps in my newly built home are deeply scratched, some of my tote bags have been damaged by water, and to make matters worse, I had to deal with an unprofessional moving company that gave me less than 24 hours notice regarding when she would be delivering my items. I also had to witness the lead mover argue with her team about payment and furniture assembly responsibilities. I filed an insurance claim as instructed and they had the audacity to offer me $75 for:A Broken Coffee tableBroken bookshelves (2)Broken File cabinetBroken Massage chairSoiled SofaBroken Lamps (2)Missing Box of african dresses and Moshions sweatshirtMissing Nelson Makamo Art pieceBroken Candle TrayBroken Mug (2)Broken VaseBroken ceramic Heart art pieceBroken Senegal wooden statues (2)Broken wooden Dresser drawChipped wooden steps (4)Broken William Sonoma large plates (4)Broken plates Medium (2)Broken William Sonoma small plates (3)Broken Wine Glasses (6)Broken Tiffany Champagne flutes (2)Broken Bowls (3)Soiled tote bags from water damage 1 Red Coach bag, 1 tweed beach bagMissing paper towel (costco pack), Broom/dustpan and clorox wipes (Costco). Midland Van Lines is a SCAM
Dishonest and Scam Moving Company!

My experience with this moving company was nothing short of a nightmare, revealing a blatant scam and utter incompetence. From the outset, they demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and respect for their clients. They arrived nearly four hours late without any prior notice or updates, showcasing their disregard for punctuality and customer time. This delay was just the beginning of a series of failures that exposed their true nature as a low-rate, untrustworthy broker rather than a legitimate moving service. The site foreman, Sean, sat in his car for hours without any effort to manage the move or communicate with the clients, while the contracted packers lacked basic tools, had limited boxes, and ran out of wrapping paper within just two hours. This level of disorganization and poor planning caused significant frustration among the workers, with some even threatening to abandon the job altogether. Such behavior underscores their inability to handle a professional move and their blatant neglect of customer needs. When contacted, the company's representative, Gary, who claimed to be the Director of Quality Assurance, offered empty promises of improvement that never materialized. The conflicting information about the storage location of belongings—one from the foreman and another from the main office—further demonstrated their dishonesty and lack of coordination. It became evident that this company was a scam, preying on unsuspecting customers with false assurances and substandard service. The truck provided was equally inadequate, equipped with only two straps and no support bars or bunking capabilities, risking damage to belongings and safety. Such negligence should warrant investigation by the FMCSA, as their practices clearly violate safety standards. I do plan to file a formal complaint at protectmymove.gov, urging others to do the same. This company’s customer service is a facade designed to deceive and lure victims into their trap. Representatives like James Listen and Sandra are part of this scam, offering false promises to keep victims engaged until the inevitable disappointment. The entire operation is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, preying on vulnerable customers and exploiting their trust. In conclusion, this experience highlights the importance of thorough research and skepticism when dealing with moving companies. Falling for their scam resulted in a complete loss of trust, financial waste, and emotional distress. Customers must be vigilant, read reviews, and avoid companies like Midland Van Lines at all costs. Their deceptive practices and lack of accountability make them unfit to operate within the industry, and they should be shut down to prevent further victimization.

Please listen to the bad reviews seriously

Hello,Please do not use this service. They stole quite a few items and they will upcharge you every step of the way. I got harassed by the driver at delivery (which was two weeks late) and a lot of my items were broken. Even though their website says they are BBB rated they are not. Please don’t fall victim to this like I did. I ended up paying 3x the amount I was quoted because they will actually hold things hostage and can make up prices. Sadly the contracts are vague and there’s not much you can do about this
