Review Time
I ordered a watch from Montredo on 7 January 2026, attracted by a clearly stated “10 Days Delivery Time” on the product page. Based on this promise, I decided to proceed with the purchase. After payment, I received no shipping confirmation, no tracking number, and almost no proactive communication. I contacted Montredo several times by email to ask about the status of my order and received no meaningful update. On 16 January, when I finally got a response, they informed me that the watch I ordered was not available and asked me to wait another two weeks. This was completely contrary to their original “10 Days Delivery Time” promise and the legal withdrawal period.Frustrated by this bait-and-switch approach, I immediately exercised my right of withdrawal and requested a full refund on the same day. Legally and according to Montredo’s own terms, the refund must be made within 14 days from the date they receive the cancellation request. Instead of processing this in a reasonable timeframe, I had to:• Send multiple reminder emails to Montredo after their initial unhelpful response.• Contact my bank advisor to prepare for a chargeback in case Montredo did not refund.• Deal with poor communication and delayed, vague replies from their side.Montredo later tried to argue that the 14-day refund period starts from the date they “confirm” the cancellation (27 January), not from the date they received my withdrawal (16 January), which is not what their own terms say and is clearly unfair to the customer. In the end, after about one full month from the original order date, I finally received the full refund on 4 February 2026.AVOID Montredo completely. They are not a real watch retailer – they simply list watches they don’t have in stock, take your money upfront, then scramble to source elsewhere. This creates false urgency with fake delivery promises, stressful delays when items are “suddenly unavailable,” and refund battles that take weeks. For luxury watches, stick to authorized dealers who actually stock what they sell. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in Montredo.
The delivery was a bit slower than advertised but it was worth the wait. This being said if you are ordering something as a bday gift, make sure you take this into consideration. I was aware of the possible delays from other reviews so was confortable with the delay. The team was really good in providing info when requested, always polite and answered all my questions quickly.Would definitely recommend Montredo and will use their services again.
Just as the recent reviews mention, the situation in my case was no different.Bought a watch. The indicated delivery time was a few weeks, it then changed to 4 weeks, 8 weeks, then "we don't know".In the end they started ignoring the emails. Already reached out to my bank to revert the transaction....Avoid at all costs. Fraudulent company.
Bought a watch one month ago. I was told from the start they didn’t know when they could deliver it. I found that a bit sus but ok. Now it’s been a month of radio silence. Will be handled as a fraud by my credit card issuer. Edit: their customer service got in touch with me recently explaining the radio silence. I’ve since gotten the watch and I’m quite happy with it.
I paid Montredo for a watch they advertised as “in stock with 1-week delivery.”The moment the money was received, the story changed completely. They admitted they do not have the watch, had never checked availability, and were “trying to source it somewhere.” Delivery promises kept shifting: 8 days → 2 weeks → “we don’t know.”I finally cancelled the order.According to their own Terms & EU consumer law, the refund must be issued within 14 days after the cancellation request. It has now been more than 14 days, and Montredo still has not returned my money. No explanation, no timeline, no communication beyond generic copy-paste emails. This business model is fundamentally misleading:– They display watches as available when they are not– They take payment first and only then start “looking for” the product– They miss their own legally binding refund deadlines– Customer support avoids giving clear answersThis is not a premium retailer. It’s a drop-shipping scheme wrapped in luxury branding.I strongly advise avoiding Montredo.
The folks at Montredo were wonderful to work with. I ordered a watch that was out of stock, but agreed to furnish one when it came back in stock at the discounted price they had listed for when I first tried to purchase it in June. The watch came sooner than they originally thought as well. I highly recommend Montredo for anyone considering purchasing from them!
Watch ordered on Saturday night and arrived at my desk on Wednesday. So 3 to 4 days (including weekend) to ship from Germany. For anyone interested it's a Mido Baroncelli Automatic Black 40mm with power reserve display. I'd wanted a black dress watch to compliment my collection and this one looks fabulous - almost like a dark chocolate with the rose gold case.Brilliand service and communication from Chris Duffy at Montredo.
