Avoid this garage at all cost

Avoid this garage at all cost, bought a car with a full mot and no advisories.. within 70 miles the engine management light came on. Tried to return the car and the garage wouldn't except it back. The owner of the garage is now completely ignoring us and will do nothing to rectify the matter.AVOID MOTORGIANTS AT ALL COST.

ILLEGALLY TAMPERED CARS, FALSE CLAIMS OF SERVICE BEFORE SALE, ILLEGAL AND UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTIC

ILLEGALLY TAMPERED CARS, FALSE CLAIMS OF SERVICE BEFORE SALE, ILLEGAL AND UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES WHEN RESOLVING ISSUES, FALSE ADVERTISING.I bought a car from this dealership alongside a 3 month warranty and was assured it would receive a full service before it was delivered. Immediately upon delivery the engine light was illuminated (he tried to claim it was the service light). I took the car to a garage and it became very apparent that the car had been illegally tampered with as the DPF had been taken out and welded instead of being replaced. Additionally, the brakes on the car failed shortly after delivery, again evidence that a full service was not completed and that the car is not safe, roadworthy or fit for purpose and should never have been sold. This also proves that their claim of cars having a PDI check is false. He claimed that he was unaware of the tampering - again evidence that a PDI and full service was not completed prior to delivery because that is impossible to miss.Under Consumer Rights Act 2015 I exercised my right to reject the car the day after delivery at 10:30pm the day before. The dealership was immediately defensive and intimidating in their tone and told me that I could “return the car asap and get your refund in 6 weeks. Simple” I sent a subsequent two letters outlining my legal rights and they agreed to collect the car (as it is undriveable) and to issue a refund via BACS on the 21/10. Mid afternoon on the 21/10 they called to explain that they would no longer be refunding today as suddenly the money was with a stockist and that the car had come from Mercedes Bradford (untruthful as Mercedes Bradford closed in November 2024.) They then explained that the stockists would be dealing with the refund and had agreed to do this on 3rd November however they could not provide any evidence of this and refused to provide any contact details. This business is highly unethical, legally questionable and completely untrustworthy. Additionally, I was intimidated into removing the first negative review as I would not receive my refund unless I did so, again highlighting how unethical they are. The delivery fee quoted on sale was £300, and yet that changed overnight and I had to give an additional £100 cash. Again, an unethical business practice. They drove the car illegally to deliver it knowing that they were driving a tampered vehicle that voids insurance and have since suggested that while I wait for the refund that I can continue to drive the car. They are illegally withholding a refund of £8175 + £400 (£8575). They falsely advertised the car in addition to falsely advertising business practices and warranty and are highly untrustworthy. Their website claims “a no quibble warranty - if despite our best efforts there are any unforeseen problems, just give us a call and we will sort it out.” DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM AND IF YOU HAVE, GET IT INDEPENDENTLY ASSESSED AS THEY ARE CLEARLY COMFORTABLE WITH SELLING CARS THAT ARE DANGEROUS AND ILLEGAL TO SELL AND DRIVE.

Phoned enquiring about a car

Phoned enquiring about a car, the person on the other end of the phoned couldn’t have been less bothered about my enquiry if they tried. A day later car was off Autotrader and low and behold it’s now back up with a £1000 increase, I guess they had a lot of interest!!!

Never use this company to buy a car

Never use this company to buy a car. I reserved a car for £300 and was told this was fully refundable. I asked the AA to inspect the vehicle only to find it had several major faults. I asked for my deposit back and have been told on many occasions it will be returned but it still has not been returned 5 months later despite constant chasing and promises. I am now pursuing a legal route for recovery.
