Review Time
I’m extremely disappointed and honestly quite frustrated.
This is now the fourth time I’ve purchased a Livia TENS machine, and every single one has developed the exact same fault: the intensity randomly drops back to 0 during use.
For context, the first two machines were eventually replaced (even though I purchased them separately over a couple of years). The third time, I was told I had to ship the unit back to Israel, which felt unreasonable given the cost. I ended up switching to a standard TENS machine that cost me around $40 AUD, compared to Livia’s ~$350 AUD for the unit and a stock of supplies for the coming years.
Well, guess I didn’t need to worry about that because the unit died almost instantly.
I recently decided to try Livia again because I have severe endometriosis, and the design is genuinely convenient.
The clip, compact size, and shorter wires are helpful and not commonly offered elsewhere, (although similar setups could be achieved for a fraction of the price just not as cute). That said, it does feel like a “pink tax” product: well-designed and marketed towards women, but not justified in cost given the reliability.
A couple of weeks ago, I also had issues with the pads breaking after only a few days. To their credit, Livia responded quickly and sent replacements. However, the machine itself has now failed again with the same issue, making this the fourth faulty unit.
Since then, I’ve sent over eight emails. My last response from customer service was over a week ago, and I’ve had no follow-up, no replacement, and no refund offered.
For a product at this price point, the lack of reliability and customer support is unacceptable. I work in the not-for-profit sector, and saving up for something marketed as an “off switch for pain” is not insignificant. To have it fail repeatedly, and then not be supported, is incredibly disheartening.
At this stage, unless I receive a response in the next few days, I will be pursuing a chargeback through my bank.
Four machines with the exact same fault suggests a serious product issue, not bad luck. Combined with the inconsistent support experience and the requirement in the past to ship faulty units internationally, it raises real concerns.
I’ll update this review if the situation is resolved, but as it stands, I cannot recommend this product.

Do not buy!!! Device stopped working after less than 2 months (that’s is less than 2 weeks if use) there customer service is terrible they don’t stand behind their product!!! Does it work to reduce pain Yes but if it stops working what’s the point !!!!do not buy this!!!!
TOTAL LIFESAVER! CUSTOMER SERVICE ROCKS! $8/month subscription is totally worth it!Backstory: I have extremely painful periods and I finally caved and I bought my Livia device on Christmas Day last year(2025)after seeing countless ads. The device arrived in the mail just in time for my next period. I put the device on the morning of my period and I still had cramps to the point the pain was so bad I turned the device up all the way and got no relief(Jan 2026). A few days pass and I reached out to the customer service team on Facebook and in talking to someone it turns out my flower pads weren’t positioned properly and there was an issue with my flower pads so customer service sent me new flower pads at no cost to me (I assume because I have a subscription) my next period comes(Feb 2026) yesterday and I put my new flower pads on and connect them to my Livia and on level 3 my pain subsided to the point that I fell asleep while watching tv on my couch! Thank you Livia!
UpdateThey responded saying they would escalate this so it would be taken care of. And they requested more information through this app. As of today, I still have had no one reach out to me to resolve this. Placed ordered about 3 weeks ago, no confirmation sent but payment came out of my account immediately. I started reaching out to them about 2weeks ago for confirmation. Repeatedly sent me my order number with no other confirmation. I kept sending emails, then they sent me a response that someone would reach out to me in 48 hours, I’ve gotten two of those responses. Finally got a message 2 days ago that they would check into it and get back to me. This is not acceptable and I will ask for a refund but seeing how their customer support works ( or doesn’t work) I don’t think that will happen
