Review Time
This once enterprising, customer-focused and spirited community is now a cynical, low value, commodity sales-dominated business that can’t fulfil its own orders. Wouldn’t be so bad if it was down to me leaving my order too late, but they cold called me - on a Friday evening, promising delivery within a week. One week later I received an email letting me know that the delivery would take another week. Their phones are switched off while they deal with their backlog of emails, and an email solicits a response that they will get back to you in 72 hours. So they’ve got my money and I don’t have the wine in the timescales promised and now I can’t get through to cancel my order, despite them being happy to cold call me on a Friday night. I feel completely ripped-off. Sad to see what they’ve become, but that’s me finally done with them. I think they were in financial difficulty last year, it feels like they’re fighting for survival, but definitely on their last legs.
The quality is service is now bordering pathetic with deliveries being slow and sometimes late. Emails are responded to automatically and proper answers take a while to a materialise. The advertising and there so called free offerings are also misleading imo as they are not free, they are dependent upon orders being placed. I have an order outstanding - purchased last Monday and here it is Friday and still not despatched.
Sadly I would like to review the company with only two stars , I placed an order that was due to arrive on a certain date. This order was unfortunately not only cancelled once but twice due to an apparent unfortunate delay of not being put on the trailer for local delivery. I cannot state that the communication couldNot of been handled more efficiently by this company and sadly the review is due to their chosen courier and I think they should consider other options within this realm. I’m yet to try the wine but having looked briefly it’s interesting to say the least. I would like to state I grew up in pubs and wine bars and I’m hard to please so I expect the wine for most is pleasantly pleasing and do not take this review as a recommendation not to order on wine quality. I wish in my experience I could rate higher than two stars and this is only due the order I put was late for the purpose of the order and ultimately the downfall is the courier however the buck lies with the company sadly
Dreadful service across the board. I apparently "won" a mixed case of 6 bottles but somehow it still cost £39.99 and tied me into a subscription I didn't want. I purchased a £50 gift card from Clearpay to pay for my "prize" and applied it to my Naked account. Clearpay now claim MY £10.01 was a "goodwill credit" by them and are refusing to refund it. £10.01 isn't much, but sending patronizing emails about keeping it and setting "my" angel wings aside in case I want to fly again is just skin crawling. If they did that with 10 people, they would profit over £100. Just, avoid.
so i stopped drinking wine for a couple of years and put my subscription on hold when i decided to colllect my $400 i called guy was nice enouh however I told him no cabs no sweet wht did he send $400 worth oh cabs and swet ( disgusting) wime this is a BYUER BEWARE company
Customer on/off over a few years. The wines can be very good - especially if you go for the highly rated ones (no big surprise!) The customer service has been fantastic and quick. I made a mistake, and they rectified it promptly without disputing it. Shows great customer care and integrity. If you like your wine, want to try something different, or want to save for wines for an event over time, it is highly recommended.
Need to stop with the tricky wording to get you into ordering product and adding credit to your account without being crystal clear about their intentions. The first experience was when I had inadvertently signed up for a monthly bank on funds. No issues I would use it anyway. Second time was the dont miss out and we will remind you when the next vintage arrives in stock, just click here and we will remind you. Clicking here signs you up for a reminder one week before they will send you 6 bottles and charge you. Not today Josephine. Account cancelled and last box of wine ordered.
Having advised Naked of issues with my delivery on 3 occasions, I have yet again had a delivery outside of office hours to a neighbour whom I do not even know. The team were warned I would cancel my subscription if this continued to happen however despite this they have still not taken on board my frustrations. This would appear to be a common theme reading the reviews and I suspect a lot of Angels are going to give up on them. If Yodel is the issue because they may be more cost effective than alternatives then Naked have to consider their business model as at some point they will not have any customers to deliver to.
