Great service from start to finish. Clean comfortable coaches, departing and arriving on time. With excellent drivers highly skilled, polite and professional. I would recommend National Express as the best way to travel beats the train every time
I like using National Express Coaches because it is a cheap form of transportation compared to taking the train. It is easy to book coach journeys using the National Express Coach app, and I also found it easy to locate my coach for all legs of my journey.I did not like the assistant and driver on the Liverpool to London journey. I do not understand why an assistant was needed on this route. Both the driver and assistant were aggressive, short tempered, and very shouty. They frequently swore and had inappropriate conversations, which I did not want to hear. Their people skills and customer service were very poor. I also do not think their behaviour was family friendly. I would like these two staff members to undertake customer service training and be told that being shouty, bad tempered, and sweary is not acceptable.I also did not enjoy the driver on the Birmingham to Liverpool journey. He was aggressive, short tempered, and shouty, and I felt his customer service and people skills were poor.In contrast, I had positive experiences with other drivers:The driver from London to Basingstoke was friendly and approachable.The driver from London to Birmingham was quiet and relaxed.The driver from Basingstoke to London was friendly and approachable.Regarding punctuality and coach condition:The Liverpool to London coach was punctual at every stop and clean and well maintained.The London to Basingstoke coach was 30 minutes late, so I arrived in Basingstoke one hour later than expected, but the coach was clean and well maintained.The Basingstoke to London coach was punctual and clean, arriving and departing on time at each stop.The London to Liverpool coach was punctual and clean, arriving and departing on time at each stop.I do not want to experience assistants and drivers who are bad tempered, shouty, sweary, and unfriendly. I want to experience assistants and drivers who are laid back, relaxed, calm, friendly, approachable, and family friendly.Overall, I would use National Express Coaches again.
