I accidentally purchased tickets for a show on the wrong date. I realized my error immediately and tried to contact customer service but that was impossible with their automated response system. I was unable to change the tickets for the correct date. They would not send me MY tickets to me to try to resell them; they would only agree to sell them on my behalf. They successfully resold MY tickets but their policy is to only issue me a voucher good for one year for MY proceeds. They refused to reimburse me directly for the proceeds from the sale of MY tickets. I was able to use the voucher several months later (I don’t live in NY) for tickets that cost less than the value of my voucher. I was not allowed to use the remainder of the voucher for another ticket. Instead, they pocketed MY money for themselves. I highly recommend using Telecharge who treat you fairly and are available to help. I WILL NEVER USE NEW YORK THEATRE GUIDE AGAIN. I tried to use the remaining voucher on a second purchase and was informed that the voucher was invalid.
Honestly, I hate dealing with customer service or support, because I am always underwelmed and dissappointed. This was not the case with dealing with Marika on 10/30/24. Marika understood my situation, offered up the correct solution quickly, and then even offered to do it for me. I deal with a lot of customer support people in my company and am one of the people deals with issues and complaints from our clients, and rarely am I impressed with anyone taking ownership of an issue as quickly and decisively as Marika. If this is how NYTG handles all support issues, that's wonderful. If not, everyone should handle things as Marika did. She was wonderful and the experience was great. Thanks to Marika and to NYTG!!!
Too god damn loud! The whole premise was WEAKAnd the songs were NOT entertaining The whole thing seemed forced and to compensate it was just played at an uncomfortable loud volume. Maybe you could fool non musicians, but the music itself was prerecorded. RIPOFF
I was so excited to purchase tickets for Wicked while my wife, son and I are in town for the marathon this coming weekend. I clicked on November 2 for show date and selected two seats (my wife needs to go to bed early for the race). When I got the email confirmation, it said my tickets were for Tuesday nights performance! I was devastated. I contacted customer support and Jenny, the senior customer experience representative was very kind and issued me a voucher for 100% of the value and was able to rebook tickets for the proper performance on Saturday. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
