Review Time
After about 3 goes at OPSM getting my script right, I gave up. Even on a straight 2+ lens, their glasses were unusable. I've had to stick to supermarket ones. At least I can see through them.I asked for a refund and got my own money back immediately. However, 14 weeks later, after multiple attempts in store and via their CS hotline, the money my Health Fund paid still has not been refunded. Apparently, their Accounts Dept has to do the refund but they are in the Phillipines. Despite numerous requests, they never action it. I cannot get new glasses until it is refunded. As far as I am concerned, they effectively have stolen this money.
This company treats it's employees like vassals. No care, no concern. Employees are expendable and exploitable. Do they meet legal requirements? Probably but it would be interesting to put this premise to the test under the new employee well-being laws.
I would like to acknowledge the outstanding customer service I received at Macquarie Store, The Manager Margaret was extremely helpful, she solved my issue with complete professionalism. I will definitely will only shop at that store. Much Thanks Janet Mehta
Airport West.I wrote a review elsewhere and didn't mention Dr.Samantha. She was very competent and thorough. I felt, like the owner, she had my best interest at heart. They weren't just there to sell you something. They were both very pleasant. After the test Samantha said now comes the hard part.(Choosing the frames). I asked the owner his opinion, knowing that they have a lot of experience and he immediately picked up two pairs of RayBans, reading and driving, that I'd missed and on assessment acknowledged they were perfect. When everything is right you walk away feeling good and it stays with you, and that's how it was. From another Geoff.
After many years of being a loyal customer, I objected to an overcharge and was promptly told stop shouting and go away. I guess I was loud (who isn't when they are being ripped off?) and copped rudeness, so I demanded a refund, got it then ran away - permanently. It is not the business it once was.
I wish I had read the reviews from before. Have been having eye exams for 20+ years at OPSM and purchased glasses and contact lenses throughout that time.In the past two years, the service has been so poor. The website is rubbish, glitch and unusable at times. The call centre staff could not give a stuff about my problems and just play handball. I cancelled my subscription 6 days ago, and only today get an email trying to solve the initial issue. Absolutely pathetic customer service, do not bother.
I bought multifocals top of range glasses from Burleigh waters store very first day when picked them up couldn’t see right when driving so stopped went looked at road signs ect and realised something was wrong they replaced as long distance and reading was in wrong spot why I couldn’t see right got them replaced have been back many numerous times since June when got them 2013 with sane complaints I need a magnifying glass to read also the coating feels like a film in my eye they replaced the coating with purple which are horrible I got my eyes tested again they now say my cataracts are lot worse I had cataracts at time of purchase and was told that they are not bad enough to go on a list to be fixed I am very unhappy with lenses which on half price sal were $840 they are now saying it’s because my cataracts are worse will never use this company again will go back to specsavers half the price and better guarantee will say the lady Vera in the store was very very helpful and understanding but bigger bosses at fault
Poor, pathetic and over pricedI’ve done an eye check up with opsm Macquarie Centre, and had new glasses according to opsm prescription with other retailer as other retailers new glasses were much more affordable than those of opsm. while driving my car with my new opsm prescribed glasses with in 10 min I narrowly missed an accident . Then I realised there’s something wrong with my glasses , and I went back to the retailer, he advised me to have my eye check up again, I was shocked to know that the opsm has prescribed me a wrong prescription . When I went back to opsm at Macquarie Centre, the sales person along with the manager were rude as usual , saying I have purchased the new glasses else where so they can’t take any responsibility. I not only wasted $500 on my opsm prescribed glasses most importantly I missed an accident. Don’t understand people still buying overpriced glasses with opsm along with the rude behaviour of the staff
After 11 years of loyalty, my trust in OPSM has crumbled. The unreliability of contact lens deliveries and constant issues with their partner, Global Express, have left me frustrated. OPSM's refusal to take responsibility and passing the buck has pushed me to say goodbye. Save yourself the hassle – avoid OPSM at all costs.
