Review Time
We recently upgraded to the Origin Lumbar Cloud mattress after realising our old one had simply reached the end of its life. I hadn’t appreciated how much it was affecting my sleep until we made the change.
The Lumbar Cloud strikes a really good balance between comfort and support. It feels soft when you first lie down, but there’s solid support underneath – especially around the lower back. I’ve noticed I’m not waking up stiff or needing to stretch out first thing in the morning anymore.
It’s also reduced how much I move around in the night. I’m falling asleep quickly and staying comfortable, which has made a genuine difference to how rested I feel the next day.
Overall, it feels like a well-made, supportive mattress that does exactly what it promises. I only wish we’d upgraded sooner.
This is without doubt one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time , it really does everything it’s advertised to do , support first class comfort second to none . The build quality is first class and delivery is fast , from order to delivery couldn’t be easier and the delivery staff could not have done anymore so helpful and show great respect and professional

I ordered this mattress in July 2025, it was delivered on time but arrived in a tatty box sellotape allover to hold it together. I gave the mattress a trial for about 180 days, but it wasn't for me and it had already started to bobble. I reached out to Origin to return and the circus which followed was a disgrace. First of all photographs of the pillows, then photographs of the mattress and all its labels. All the while having to wait 48 hours for replies. So the free gift pillows come with conditions! They must also be returned! Then they are not a gift are they. Then im asked if i want to take pillows to the post office to return them! I reply "No i dont want to take time out to travel to the post office". They then arrange collection through DPD. Pillows collected. Next im told to liase with the British Heart Foundation to collect the mattress. More time taken to arrange this. Mattress collected 2 weeks later. I inform Origin that it has been collected. They then ask me what i want to do with the pillows! I inform them they were collected 2 weeks ago by the courier which THEY arranged, providing them with more photographs of proof of collection.
They then ask me for my bank details for refund and tell me 7 to 14 days. This is a CHAPS manual refund which is a same-day transaction according to my bank. Its now 12 days later and still no refund and as the 14 days is up on Sunday it looks like it wont be refunded within 14 days. I have now had to email AGAIN to inform them that on Monday i will be visiting my solicitor and they can pay his fee aswell. Unprofessional, dishonest company hold on to your money for every last minute, pathetic and disgraceful. Do yourselves a favour and stay well away from Origin, who, by the way, will not be in business much longer if this is how they treat customers.
The mattress arrived promptly as communicated.
The mattress is really comfortable... We had a llily double mattress before this one and didn't think any mattress would beat that for comfort but the origin mattress beats it..
3 Stars for Customer service but 5 Stars for the Origin Hybrid Mattress. I ordered this mattress to be delivered on Tuesday 20th January, waited in all day then received a txt from the delivery company SGK offering me Wednesday 21st. I wasn't happy as I choose 20th and took a day off work for it. So SGK said they would delivery both my mattress and pillow on Wednesday 21st between 6-9pm then at 8.30am on the day I had a call from SGK saying that one of the items would not be delivered I asked which one and she had no idea at all, I asked her to call me back and let me know, I heard nothing all day no call back at all then at 7.30pm the driver called saying he had only the pillow on his van to deliver, I said no point coming with just the pillow as I needed both. I contacted Origin and was told they would look into it and email me back. Never heard anything for a couple of days. Anyhow eventually arranged delivery with SGK for Saturday they said they will deliver both items between 6-9pm. I got a call from SGK at 9.15pm saying he will be with me at 9.50pm which is a bit late really to be honest but I just wanted my new Mattress and pillow as by now it had been 5 days since I arranged it to be delivered. The Mattress itself is amazing quality and lived up to what I wanted it to be. Had a great first nights sleep. It's such a shame I was let down by poor customer service.
I'm truly in love with this mattress. We purchased it for my son, but now my husband and I are planning to get one for ourselves, and I believe my parents will want one as well. We all have such high regard for it. My son enjoys the best sleep, often up to 12 hours if I allow him.
The Customer Service is not an issue. However, I'm having difficulty adjusting to a firmer mattress. At times, I wake up with significant lower back pain. I've purchased a specialized lumbar pillow to see if that alleviates the discomfort. I'm exploring different methods to manage the pain while trying to hold onto the mattress during this trial period.
The delivery service kept the mattress for a week and then claimed they "couldn't reach the property," which is nonsense since another delivery arrived the same day. I couldn't get in touch with the courier by phone (no phone support available), and the webchat was too congested to connect with an agent. I eventually decided to cancel the order and received a full refund. It's disappointing because the mattress seemed like a great option.
It arrived as promised, and after a few weeks of sleeping on it, I needed some time to adjust since my previous mattress was softer. I can honestly say I've enjoyed restful nights since switching to this mattress, and it maintains its shape well even when sitting on the edge. I would certainly recommend it!
I've faced back pain for six months, particularly in the mornings. After just one night on this mattress, the pain disappeared. It feels soft yet offers incredible support. For about a week after it arrived, I found myself eagerly checking the time to go to bed early. I highly recommend this! Two others have already purchased one based on my suggestion. You won't regret it!
