I’m deeply disappointed with Patreon’s lack of transparency, especially regarding tipsters selling predictions.There’s no way to see their past results or performance, which makes it easy for scammers to operate. I’ve personally lost money after trusting so-called “experts” who turned out to be completely unqualified.Patreon is enabling this by not requiring tipsters to show any track record. This hurts users and damages the platform’s reputation.If Patreon cares about its community, they need to implement rules: show past predictions, allow user reporting, and protect patrons from being misled.I’m writing this because I’ve personally lost money and know many others have too. Patreon allows people to sell predictions—especially in betting or finance—without any form of transparency or accountability.Many so-called “tipsters” claim to be experts, but have no actual track record to back up their claims. Once you subscribe, you often find out they’re not just unqualified—they're misleading and sometimes outright scamming people. And yet Patreon continues to give them a platform to profit.There’s no way to view past predictions, results, or real performance stats before subscribing. This leaves people vulnerable to fake claims and dishonest marketing.Patreon is directly enabling this by failing to:Require tipsters to show past performanceProvide any transparency for paid adviceGive users tools to report fraudulent accountsAdd proper disclaimers on risky contentIt’s incredibly disappointing, and it damages trust in the Patreon platform as a whole.Until Patreon sets real standards and protects its users, I strongly advise people to be cautious—especially when dealing with anyone selling predictions or financial advice on their platform.Patreon must do better. Real people are being misled and losing money, and that’s not acceptable.
This is literally the WORST FUNDING PLATFORM EVER!1) It takes them MORE THAN ONE WEEK to give you your first payout, because their employees are VERY FEW and you need to spam them in different emails so that they wake up.2) They hold....20% FROM EVERY SUBSCRIPTION!! SERIOUSLY? The classic "VAT Charge" and OF COURSE they send NO INVOICES to your company.Who are you? The tax department or something?3) You are allowed to withdraw money ONCE EVERY 24 HOURS! You found extra tricks to hold people's money. Right?4) Not to mention that if you change a payment method it needs like 24 hours for the changes to take effect.Somebody make ONE Platform with EASY TO USE USER INTERFACE like Patreon and we will go there instantly!
Was getting double charged. No way of contacting support. There is no support team for a company this large that is processing this many monthly transactions and payments. Absolutely absurd business. Will not be using Patreon ever again. When asking how to contact support, you get a page that is a wall of text that basically leads to, "Ask us on Twitter except we can't actually help with anything important that you'd be contacting support about." Essentially telling their most loyal customers to F off. I'm done with this phony company. Also, some of the policy changes they've made have limited creators and I will find other ways to support the ones I care about.
I setup my account as podcast then I got flagged for suspicious activity i just set up my account lol what bad customer service no explanation why my account was flagged I email got no reply bad as big as company they should have better service taking my business elsewhere
I turned off all email notifications, still get spamsI disabled all email notifications, yet I kept getting flooded with spam. Even after deleting my account, they continued to send spam. When I reached out to complain, they responded with instructions to log in, which is ridiculous since I’m no longer a member. To make matters worse, ever since signing up, the amount of spam I receive has multiplied tenfold, likely because they sell their email lists to shady third parties. This company needs to be shut down immediately—please, EU and US authorities, take action!
I have not been allowed to withdraw my balance under the pretext that it is under verification, and I have been waiting for two months without any benefit, and there is no technical support!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't received any messages, and I have sent them many, many times without any use.
Suspended my account, didnt explain why, didnt respond to nearly 15 emails over a 2 month period and instantly refunded over 40 sales and withheld subscription money from people that wanted to support me completely separate from the product I had for sale, and stole that money too, all without any answer.Ive moved my product to Sellfy and literally tripled my sales which tells me Patreons payment options, visibility and usability were not acceptable to begin with. So happy they suspended my account but wished they would at least have told me why and let me appeal to which I still would have cancelled with them but felt like I wasnt scammed.Absolute scam.
For a huge company to not have a phone number is unacceptable. I wanted to first start off making that statement; kind of a HUGE red flag in business. Can’t afford a flip phone? Or intentionally avoiding your issues?Just wanted to share that Alex over at Patreon likes to swindle people that don’t know they’ve sign up, utilized or even have familiarity with this service. Never once have I used this service, I have no reason to. But nonetheless, after nine months of being incorrectly charged and two months of emails exchange with documents and pictures, I get told to go screw myself and they don’t care who signed up that’s their money know and they REFUSE to remove my card from their systems and continuously charge me every month. Can’t even live with $5 in my account, why? Because Alex is ready gonna take it. So know you can go screw yourself Alex. Go touch grass you bum. Give me back my money.
