I received ABSOLUTELY NO renewal notifications for a yearly Patreon account subscription I purchased last year; a charge was posted TODAY on my credit card for another year of membership, and I can't get a refund! Patreon does not issue refunds, and there is no way to contact them to dispute the charge. The only thing stated on the site is to appeal directly to the host/ creator of the Patreon account for a refund. This is nothing short of a scam!
I had changed my email address with Patreon a full year ago but their software does NOT clear the previously used address! Total confusion is therefore no surprise. What is surprising is that the site then instantly deactivates the account, making the expected payment/contribution void. As you can imagine, since a personal email address is changed, so is the email address used by the source of payment – and that is not changed by Patreon either, making the attempt to pay null and void! Worse, there is NO advisement that the expiry date for the account is imminent. Instant deactivation, again! It took SIX days for Patreon to respond as to what is going on with their purported “service”. And what is required to re-instate the account is absurdly onerous for the client, the assumption being that each client is fully and exclusively focused on Patreon as the only app/service in existence, Patreon as center of the client’s universe, asked to provide and list amounts and depth of detail that none but the most obsessively fastidious people would see fit to keep tabs on. Still worse, at least in my case, is that exposition of the problem, as simple as it is, was entirely misconstrued by agents who obviously are challenged in reading beyond a grade 5 level of skill! Presumably, as long as NOTHING is ever changed in a client’s account, Patreon’s rickety, inefficient, and fallible software will maintain the illusion that they are actually doing a good job on your behalf. The truth is drastically different, Patreon seems to be populated by a management whose only skill is siphoning off fees from clients duped into thinking that theirs is a competently supervised service.
I've bought one month of membership on one creator, and when next month was about to come, i wanted to cancel my membership, but patreon blocked my account without any reason, i wasnt even active on there, i just paid so i would be able to download one file... Then i sent message to support, i didnt get any message from them, and still this problem isnt solved and its charging me on monthly basis... Scammers...
Disgusted! Cancelled my membership over a year ago to suddenly discover today, I am being charged for a cancelled membership.Contacted Patreon, they directed me to creator says they can't do anything and Creator not responding to me.Now experiencing issues with trying to gain access - funny that!
Like others on here, creator didn’t deliver what was stated in their tier system. The 2 main aspects never materialised. Patreon refuse any responsibility for the creator and will not issue refunds. Contacting my bank for a refund
PATREON STEALS CREATORS INCOME WITH MISSING PAYOUTS AND NON EXISTENT SUPPORTThe biggest reason they are getting 2 stars is because of how horrible and non existent the support team is. If you are handling peoples INCOMES then you better have a QUICK and RESPONSIVE support team in place who can handle issues in a timely manner. I am missing 2 payouts that are almost $300 (a big chunk of change and the money I need for my current bills) that show pay out successful but never hit my PayPal account. I have submitted 2 support tickets for this URGENT matter in the past 5 days and not a single response. I don’t care if you work based off of a “queue”, if you’re handling creators INCOMES then you need a better system in place, especially a call center. The lack of regard and care towards the handling of people’s NEEDED income has changed my mind about this god awful platform and it’s time I switch and stop spending money on a company that doesn’t give 2 craps about their creators, they only care about stealing their creators money
I already regret that I wasted precious time building a profile with videos on the Patreon platform. It is very expensive in relation to the quality offered. You only have a few options. If you have uploaded videos, you cannot change anything. 8% is collected automatically both from the one who profiles on Patreon and from the one who subscribes and you don't have the option, which is a lot in relation to the quality offered. I hope that someone less greedy and selfish builds a serious platform . If you ask or ask for help for something, no one will answer you!
PLEASE READ!! SCAMMING COMPANY!!! I SUBSCRIBED TO A MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP. THEN 10HRS LATER THEY TRIED TO TAKE MONEY OUT AGAIN. I NEED TO PAY AGAIN TO HAVE WHAT I ALREADY PAID FOR?! THEY HAVE NO NUMBER TO CALL. NO LIVE CHAT. NO REPLY TO MY EMAIL. DON'T TRUST THEM!!
