Save yourself a few years of pain. avoid this company

The first email I got in response to my problem was flagged as a phishing trap because of the incredibly specific and personal details required to verify my account. So I tried again and got another email with the same questions worded slightly differently as to not be flagged again.Responses come once a day, between 3-7 am, and even if I replied immediately, I still wouldn't get another one for another 24ish hours. None of my questions were answered about the security information required to verify my account. I just got a paragraphed apology, summarizing exactly what I asked. So I googled a bunch and was able to verify HIS email as legit, after 3 days. It's taken over a week since I contacted them the second time and I'm still not back into my account to watch the content I PAY FOR because, guess what? They're closed on weekends. So I have to wait until Monday, hopefully, to receive a final reply telling me my email has been updated. I'm not expecting that though. I'm expecting another tired apology about all my complaints without answering any of them and a few more steps until I have access again. When literally any other company, my issue would've been resolved in a few minutes with a phone call or online chat. It's been over a week. They do not care about you or your problems with their shitty company. They don't service customers. At all.

Elaborate dark pattern scams impossible to cancel

Took me five minutes to find the unsubscribe option, which is hidden down 8 levels of menus. And then it popped up a message in French (my app and OS are in English and have never been in French) obscuring the cancel button. Oh sure, "it's a bug" I'm sure they will say. Bullshit! Only because I speak French was I able to navigate how to dismiss the cookie warning dialogue and cancel the subscription. Super sketchy scammy dark pattern crap. Will NEVER subscribe to a Patreon again

Patreon continually sides with creators…

Patreon continually sides with creators over their fans, even when fans have been treated unfairly and goods and services have not been provided as part of the creator's membership agreement. It is really quite shocking that a business such as Patreon does not treat these situations fairly for fans who generously support creators (AND their platform) with their hard-earned money. They need to be reminded that it is the fans that make this platform feasible - without them, both the creators and Patreon would be unable to continue. The fans need to be treated with the appropriate level of respect, and their money should be refunded if goods and services have not been provided as promised by the creator. However Patreon often sides with the creator on this, and it is extremely unfair to fans. I have been treated unfairly and quite rudely by Patreon with regards to this. In my last encounter with them my request for refund was denied because 'it doesn't agree with their strict refund policy', without actually telling me why it doesn't. In this case I payed for monthly content that I never received, which is actually stated as reason for refund in their official refund policy. When I questioned them about this, they replied back with no explanation and a curt reply, saying this was their final verdict and final correspondence with me on this case. There are a lot of creators who are honest on the platform but unfortunately there are many who are not, and Patreon should take better care of their fans / Patrons in these cases. I would definitely think twice before supporting creators on this platform.

Money Taken Without Petmission

Money has been taken from account without my permission. I've tried to complain and noone responds. Wish I'd never got involved with it - person I tried to help is long gone but Patreon still stealing money. Only way out seems to be to block their content, remove your bank details and ban the site with your bank.

Untrustful company with bad catastrophic late support answers

If you have problems regarding confiscating money although you cancelled their subscription - the support needs more than a week to answer! This wasn’t an exception but was happening regulary! If you cancel a paid subscription - they do not (!!!) sent you a confirmation email that it worked or didn’t work. You will get just nothing. Every a free email subscription can do that. Patreon can‘t. And it doesn’t make it better if every very late email starts with an excuse. Hire more people if you cannot answer the support mails in time! Or even better: improve you shitty workflow and make it clear (yes, via email as well!) that the cancelled subscription did work. You don’t even deserve one star.

I bought s membership for The Race on…

I bought s membership for The Race on Patreon, I received an email confirming my membership and the latest posts, but they were all locked. I paid by PayPal and the money was deducted from my account. So there was no excuse for the content to be locked, this was on the same email confirming my membership. I wrote to PayPal and received a refund. I remember when i wrote to them before and never received a reply, that was when i was making an inquiry. I wrote at least 3 emails but never received any replies. ONLY PAY WITH PAYPAL OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY, OR THEY WILL TAKE MONEY AS THEY WANT AS I HAVE READ ON HERE.The customer service is non existent. Terrible company, once they have your money they are not interested in helping you in anyway. You never receive any replies, I feel sorry for people that have been robbed by this company. I received my refund from PayPal, but had i paid through my card i doubt i would have received a refund. They don't even reply to the complaints on here Trustpilot, proving they couldn't care less.Keep away from this company, as much as i would have liked to listen to my podcasts, it's not worth it because even though you are a member the content is locked and asks you to join, when you are already a member. SHOCKING COMPANY, JOIN AT YOUR PERIL. REMEMBER ONLY USE PAYPAL IF YOU WANT A REFUND.After reading the the reviews you will want a refund. I feel sorry for all the people that have lost money to this company which i regard as a scam.
