I paid with an annual subscription and it's been a month now and I get no benefits from the creator and Patreon says I haven't pledged to anyone and is trying to get me to repledge...I canceled my automatic payment with PayPal....now let's see if they refund
They say they moderate this site but I don't think they really do. I found a bunch of profiles with CSE material being advertised (children in bikinis) and when I reported them they banned my account just like that. Sent an e-mail to get it back but it's already been a week and I feel like I won't hear from them. I'm done.
I subscribed on Patreon a day ago to access a broadcast from a YouTuber I follow and immediately logged out, hoping to have access the next time I come. But, unfortunately access to Patreon has been denied as I can't login, I even downloaded their app but it's still the same error. And I'm not sure their customer service will fix the issue here seeing others bad experience with them. If I can't login, then I need a refund please🙄🙄🙄
This is a propaganda channel - they ban people who state opinions that the Patreon management don't agree with.There are also some very dangerous issues - allow illegal underage material and when their security team tried to clamp down on it they all got fired.
Within 24 hours after payment, my account was suspended for "suspicious activity". Support did not elaborate on this decision and inquired me to identify myself with data a support employee should not have access to. When asking for a refund, they told me to request a refund through PayPal, where they proceeded to ghost me. In fact, their email address on PayPal is set to noreply, so I doubt they ever got my request, but who knows. Reported it to PayPal and got my refund denied. Genuinely the worst customer experience I ever had in my entire life. Stay away from this service and do not forget to cancel their access to your payment information, as they will continue charging you money for content you do not have access to.
I was looking for good outlets to fund a crowdfund project im starting with my community. I thought to look up good services for monthly crowdfund and came across Patreon. Thought it was good, I've seen it before.Created an account started getting some of my community to start subscribing, managed to get a good amount going.Then I made one post, they instantly suspended my page because they thought I was connected to some other page that broke their community rules. After asking why they took my page down they didn't even give me a reason why.They even took all the money that I had in the account from my supporters, greedy, money hungry company. I'd highly suggest avoiding them and using Ko-Fi, Buymeacoffee, gumroad, or any other service that won't ban you and steal your revenue.
