They sent out a letter increasing the swimming session for my son to £38 starting from April. The Latchmere leisure centre in Battersea was well maintained before covid with swimming teachers that were going in the swimming pool together with the kids. The facility was clean and someone was there all the time to clean the floor and make sure people from outside were using the shoes protection provided at the entrance. Now no teacher goes into the swimming pool with the kids. They stay on the borders making jokes and not looking at the kids. Learning to swim takes several years. The changing cabins stink of baby nappies as the bins are not emptied on a regular basis. Years ago I have seen also people from Wandsworth council checking the place was clean. Now they disappear.
Should be NO Star or minus Went to Balham to swim and as I suffer constant pain due to my arthritis.Wasn't told no notices up ( ones up weren't clear no notice on website) that I would have to walk a considerable distance to change then down to the pool ; as it .was a schools sesion.A member of staff rudely shouted where are you going ? And then it's schools only you can't go in there. Then directed me back to desk : the staff member on desk apologised and explained and showed me to changing. I had my swim as its meant to be good helpy mobility ....certainly left me totally feed up discusted at the appealing way I was treated and level off rudness I was treated to . So I won't be going back and would definitely not recommend it.
I was advised to join a gym to help with my mental health as I suffer rather bad with it. Well I've suffered more being a member I missed a DD and didn't even realise they then tried to take it again adding an extra 20 pound on top. They never advised me about missing the payment or tell me they where attempting again on a date as I then missed that I've had an email to say they're putting another 20 ontop so a 28 pound DD is now 68 pound. I have now got to try and find the money from somewhere. never have I known any other company charge so high for a missed DD Can't wait to cancel
Would give -1 if I could. Where to start firstly this is the Wokingham leisure centre. Shocking customer service with mostly young staff who aren’t bothered and are rude. Health suite is filthy and isn’t cleaned 🧼 regularly. Gym is average size with 14 year old teenagers using the equipment and not wiping it down after use. Parking is annoying as you only get 2 hours free as a member. That’s not long enough. An incident occurred yesterday in the health suite where a few undesirables hadn’t paid and had jumped the gate. They refused to leave. I didn’t feel safe and the staff didn’t deal with it properly. They were laughing at the situation and the police 👮 came in the health suite 30 minutes late to scene. Terrible and cancelling your direct debit is a headache. They don’t can’t about their customers and it’s the worst gym I’ve ever visited.
Loddon swimming pool Reading.Only 45 Minutes to cancel children's swimming lessons is not adequate!Rude and dismissive receptionist staff and no apology when we arrived. 'Manager' just as rude and incompetent.I have already contacted both the operations manager and the email address you have provided. I am still awaiting a response 30.01.2024.
Joined as a new member, completely shambolic booking system, impossible to talk to anyone, website and app appear designed to avoid this at all costs. Its not like the internet is new, web based systems should not contain basic failures in their use. Tried to cancel an incorrect booking and still looking how, quick to tell me I will pay a penalty though!! I'll find another gym!!
If i could give this less than 1 star then I would. This company are the most difficult people to deal with if you have ANY direct debit, freezing or payment issues. They do not answer emails and are incredibly unhelpful on the phone. Why the leisure centres have to use this awful company to deal with the membership of their gyms I do not know but I thoroughly wish they would not. So frustrating and difficult.
Does anybody know that this company is still making people book online for a 1 hour slot to swim at the full price ?I was shocked to discover they are still adopting Covid style restrictions even though the HSE have lifted all restrictions.They say this is what customers want....what do you think ?I suspect profiteering on the coat tails of Covid which I feel is wrong for at least swimming.If anyone agrees...Please take this up with your local council/councillor.This company is difficult to contact for anyone that can take action.
