We asked Plumbs to recover our suite and dining chairs. We couldn’t be more pleased with the end result. We wanted a modern twist on traditional furniture styles and gained confidence to do so with guidance of their incredibly professional advisor Olivia Minto, who we can’t thank enough for the design and colour matching. Not to mention the support throughout the process - a super star! Our craftsman was Tony Nevison - he was brilliant and certainly excellent at his craft and we are very appreciative of his time and skill (and noting the skill of his colleague Jane), they exceeded our expectations. This company is good at what it does and we wouldn’t hesitate in using them again or recommending them.

Barbara fitted my fourth set of covers…

Barbara fitted my fourth set of covers excellently today. The covers look of good quality and very well structured. I love the finished piping on the edges. The fitting renews the suite and makes me feel as if I have a new suite.

End to end shoddiness and poor quality

The end to end service was appalling. I had to chase the sales person for a quote (and the first one turned out to be overstated and was redone). Customer service was peremptory and unfriendly when I contacted them about the delivery time/ date (and they were so tardy I enquired about cancelling and had the book thrown at me). Once the ten week waiting period for a date had gone by, I contacted them. They gave me a 10% discount to make up for not having made a booking on a timely basis.Then the installation took place, and the curtains are CROOKED - and really badly so. I was told that handmade curtains can have issues and they would need to take them back to the factory. How could the installer not have noticed? How can they have sent curtains out that are clearly cut at an angle. I wish I could attach a picture. When I asked for at least a partial refund, I again had the book thrown at me and was told I'd already had their maximum discount. Unbelievable.

Delighted with 2 seater sofa cover and…

Delighted with 2 seater sofa cover and arm chair cover. Well measured, well fitted, great colour and quality. Look great. Fitter was pleasant friendly and professional. Measured thoroughly. HoweverThere seems to be a problem at the factory end with making the arm sleeves. I needed 6. They are all either too long, too wide, too short or have the seam in the wrong place where it’s visible. The latest ones to arrive are too short and they have also sent extra sets for the other seats which are again wrong and which I hadn’t requested.

I invited Plumbs to give me a quotation for replacement covers for my 3 piece suite. I had used them before and was delighted with the service then. An appointment was made quickly and a representative, Susan, attended with all the sample materials and colours I could have wished for. She provided me with all the information I needed to make my decision. I was under no pressure whatsoever to make a decision. Once I decided and my order was placed I received the same service that had brought me back to Plumbs after a 10 year gap. My order was placed in mid October and my beautiful made to measure covers were fitted mid December. They are stunning. Beautiful quality fabric and they fit like a glove. I cannot tell you how pleased I am. Thank you Plumbs

I am awaiting an order that I had to…

I am awaiting an order that I had to pay the final instalment for several weeks ago. since then, no contact, no calling back when they said they would and no answer on phones. Very frustrated. Wish I had listened to personal reviews that warned me about this company.

Really disappointed in the service from…

Really disappointed in the service from plumbs. When I first contacted I was told a representative would be in contact soon, that took around 10 days. when I was finally contacted, the lady was a little abrupt and it seemed like I was an inconvenience for her to make an appointment however we did make an appointment for the following week. Today was the day of my appointment and I was late which I apologised for. the lady had taken it upon herself to put a quote together without asking anything about what My needs were or what I wanted she went on to tell me that because I had a reclining sofa, I would not be eligible for any discount and proceeded to tell me that it would cost me in the region of £6000 upwards. She made no effort to inform me of anything and she packed up her things and left, when I asked her to leave via the front door not the back door she seemed inconvenienced and told me that she entered through the back and that’s where her car is! this way because my partner was outside when she arrived, I said unfortunately that’s where my dogs are and the front way is the access to the house. I feel like my whole experience with your company has been a complete letdown and I’m disappointed as I was looking forward to discussing the possibilities.

Non stop unsolicited advertising

Requested a home visit to quote for loose covers for two sofas. Rep lovely, quote given. Had a delay in ordering due to family circumstances. Month after month I received unsolicited promotions through the post. I certainly never opted in and certainly do not want their MONTHLY advertising shoved through my door. Decided to give my business to another company. Over a year later I'm STILL receiving monthly unsolicited mail even after sending the last four 'return to sender unsolicited mail please stop sending'. So I guess the onus is on me to email them and treaten legal action if they don't stop sending them?! Plain annoying not to mention illegal. Wouldn't recommend contacting them or asking for samples, they abuse your personal details.**Edit** re: reply no I'm not happy with your marketing - I NEVER OPTED IN FOR IT!! Why should the onus be on me to write you an email to opt out?!

Amazing transformation.

The furniture in our conservatory was comfortable but faded and shabby. I called Plumbs and Amanda came out to give us a quote for loose covers. She was extremely friendly and patient, offering us advice and recommendations. The result is. we now have furniture to be proud of. We have beautiful fitted covers, fitted within the time limit. What a difference! It wasn't an easy job but we are delighted with the result. Amanda was brilliant, just quietly efficient, helpful and not the least bit 'the pushy salesperson'. Thank you so much.
