The courses are mostly terrible

The courses are mostly terrible. Instructors skip important details. Code doesn't work, instructions are obsolete and often wrong. Instructors ramble about irrelevant junk and flit from one thing to another rapidly and confusingly. AngularJS for .net left me with a headache and a keen urge to kick someone. In the end I just went to Stack Overflow to find how to do things properly.

Good content - Horrible customer service

Pluralsight has great content on a wide variety of topics.Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by their incredibly poor customer service. Our company was on an annual subscription and received an invoice 15 days prior to our renewal. The invoice showed a significant increase over the previous year. We immediately tried to contact them to work out a solution. For the first contact, it took them over a week to get back to us. After several days of being unable to work out a compromise on price and/or reduction in licenses, we decided to cancel. At that point, we were told we were not able to cancel since cancellation needed to be done 30 prior to the renewal. We have pointed out time and time again that we tried to work with them immediately after being notified of the price increase (which was also given to us after the cancellation deadline had passed).Their training material is good, and they don't need to rely on these unreasonable practices to try to force customers into paying for what they don't want or need.

Bad service after transition from code school

I have been a user of the code school website, which has now been merged into Pluralsight. The transition has been very badly handled. I have lost all the badges I've earned at code school, meaning that I cannot prove the learning I have done in the last 4 months. This is quite unfortunate, since I wanted to include the badges in my CV. I have asked for a transcript, since it cost me 120$ to take all of theses courses but the employees at Pluralsight were not very helpful. I seriously discourage using this site, since their service quality is inacceptable.

Unacceptable business practices and…

Unacceptable business practices and beyond sub-par account support. I had a 5 user annual service through account rep Pierce Smith at Plural Sight that was up for renewal in September of 2017. In January I discovered that the account auto-renewed and I was locked in to another year of service for 2732 USD. Coming from a customer service background I expected that I could work with them on this and potentially pay either a pro-rated portion of the outstanding amount and reduce the user count to 2, or come up with another fair solution that left us using their service but with a reduced user count. Plural Sight was unwilling to budge from their stance of making me pay 2732 USD even though I only had 2 users log in for a total of approximately 1 hour each. The account rep Pierce is unprofessional and the only thing he ever says is "I cannot help with that". He focuses more on what he 'cannot' do rather than retaining accounts by leading with what he can do. Totally unacceptable. Look elsewhere for training.

They will steal you

They will steal you! I subbed for 1 month, and I was thinking that I will cancel the renewal before the next month starts, But to my surprise they withdrawn from my visa 20 days after my subscription! not 30. not just that! I thought it might’ve been a mistake so I emailed them,no one answers so I said at least I have another month, so I checked my subscription plan and it says I have only 20 days, not 30! so they programmed it to scam people not just a mistake.

A worthwhile investment in your education!

I was looking to teach myself the ins and outs of Game Development, I needed to learn some seriously complicated software like; Maya, Z Brush, Unity, etc. I have followed 1 hour and 20 minutes of the 'Maya 2018 Fundamentals course' and I'm impressed! I already have a background in 3D modelling with Blender, which might of made this course easier to me than others, but I honestly believe it's simply down to the quality of the course. It's easy to follow and clearly explained. I could not recommend this website enough. A worthwhile investment in your future.

Separate subscription version needed for India

It is good website having good amount of courses on various topics. I found few of the tutorials great in Pluralsight. But my request is for Indian market, 29$/month, 299$/year is costly, when it is converted into Indian Rupees. So, I would suggest to release a separate subscription version for India, so that we Indians can opt for individual plan in Pluralsight.

Do not be an Instructor

Pluralsight contacted me to be an instructor. My curriculum was approved and I was promised a $200 reimbursement for equipment (microphone and stand, digital adapter) and software I had to buy (which went over this allotted amount). I spent time planning my lessons and had audio trouble that the editor they set me up with was not able to help me resolve. As a full time employee, I needed to work on this project when I had pockets of time. Waiting for feedback was very slow and didn't work out with my schedule. I asked to be able to work with a more responsive editor, but was denied. I moved to another state and brought all this equipment with me, as well as a different laptop (which would probably resolve the audio issues). Soon after, I was told my project was cancelled. I asked for the $200 reimbursement- not any $ for my time or moving expenses or anything else. I was told by the editor that I would get it. I corresponded with him monthly, reminding him of the money owed to me. This went on for 5 months before I gave up. I do not recommend working with or purchasing from a company with these poor business ethics.Also- I have used Pluralsight for training myself and have found that a lot of the content is outdated and obsolete. It is difficult to find the software version on the courses. They seemed to have a lot more relevant content when they were Digital Tutors. Some of this content has been moved over to the new Pluralsight, but a lot of it is missing.

Good Material. Fair Customer Service.

Lots of good course. Customer support only half effective. Call in never gets through. Email is all that is available. If customer service matched site content it would rate a 4 or 5 star. So content gets 5 stars. Customer service get a 3 star. Average of 3 stars.
