This is cheating website!!! It provides free trial of 10 days with mandate auto-renewal. The auto-renewal does not allow a free trial user to cancel it even if you do not like it.Why Pluralsight does not provide an option for new user to cancel the auto-renewal, and force him to pay for what he does not want to use?
I have used Pluralsight as supplemental learning and it has assisted me in passing some very quality certifications including the CISA, CISM and Security+.This platform is a great resource for self-motivated learners. It's only a fraction of the costs of many other providers, yet, your self-motivation and dedication can get you far.Again, only for self-starters!
Warning! Pluralsight are trying to automatically renew my subscription without my approval. I have just discovered a pending payment on my account for the renewal which I did not authorize and have been told by my bank I have to wait for the money to leave my account and then dispute it.
Started a Unity Swords and Shovels course.Had trouble from the beginning as the videos were too unstructured and didn't always alllow for complete novice learners.Tried to ask how to cancel my subscription, took a few goes to get any direct answer, which ended up being wrong. Was told it was a one off and I didn't need to cancel but just got charged again.
A lot of content of which some is redundant....The website is pleasant to navigate and to watch courses, this being said i only tested during the 18 days trial period. I'll provide further feedback to tell how it's like have couple of months usage.Side note: I think there's a lot of fake reviews with perfect titles and generic one liners....
Their customer service is the worse. My credit card was expiring end of September. I wanted to change the card to a different card. BUT! Pluralsight decided to change my profile with an updated expiration date of the old card. Now, I asked where in TOS they had to right to change my profile - they blamed my bank. I asked a second time - they said they had a right to collect fees... even if the card was still valid for the current billing cycle WHICH HADN'T HAPPENED YET. I pointed this out and asked a third time and was told "because they can do anything they want". Really? Seriously?So I canceled the account and subscription which meant they never got a chance to bill me for a cycle on which the original card was still valid.Bottom line - NO ONE has the right, unless spelled out in TOS, to change my profile or billing profile WITHOUT my permission. And NO ONE has the arrogant right to tell me "because they can" - they can take their website and shove it.
Sure there are some good courses. But what is unacceptable is that they charge you a full 300$ after your 5 days trial. You can not even modify the automatic renewal meaning that if you don't cancel your subscription next year you will also be fully charged another year without warning.From the moment you cancel your subscription no refund are made.
