Review Time
It was a little bit difficult to work out how our electricity supplied qualified for the Podpoint being fitted but our contact there - Dawid their 'Homecharge operations coordinator' was absolutely brilliant communicating with us by email to make sure that when the electrician Steve came all went smoothly. Thank you Dawid and Podpoint!
The chap I spoke to was called Jake.
He had read through the information that I had passed to his coleage and asked me to provide a little more info which I did. He then said he would look at it,all and come back to me which he did. He suggested that it may be some changes that had been made when my new smart meter was installed . He adjusted some settings to my PodPoint and asked me to carry out a charging period with other items running. The result was a success .
At all times he was helpful, resourceful and professional.

It took 6 phone calls and lots of patient waiting to Pod Point to confirm an install time and date during which I waited over 20mins for one call to answered and being cut off mid conversation.
For a very easy installation the installer who turner up wasn't prepared for my install, not having enough of the correct size plastic cable trunking telling me....well I hardly use this size, and have had only this small amount in my van for months. He surely new what he needed having seen the photos of what he needed to do. To mitigate this lack of mateials he gave me an option of trunking twice the size and very unsightly to stick on the wall. I suggested buying some more but he wasn't forthcoming but was happy for me to go to Screwfix and buy it for him at my expense. It took only 15 minutes to bring the item back to him for fitting, this was the difference between a good quality outcome and a bodge job. He then proceeded to tell me I was his only customer that day and was happy to be finished by lunchtime having started at 10.00 am. Hopefully the Pod Point unit will be reliable going forward for the 5yrs warranty period.
Maria was calm , patient and very helpful today. She re-set my email address for me and talked me through the use of my app. This all took a very long time but we got there in the end . I am very grateful to her
The service advertises 24/7 customer support, but actual technical assistance is only available Monday to Friday. I had a charger installed in December and have faced ongoing issues since then. I’ve received inaccurate information repeatedly, and the charger is still not functioning properly. I strongly recommend avoiding this company.
