My furniture has not been delivered. The two delivery men made very little effort to get the piece of furniture into the house. It was tight through the door but they would not remove the packaging or the legs.’ They had other deliveries, I didn’t understand and they had no time for this shit’ (quotation). They were rude offensive and discourteous not to mention patronising as I was a woman home alone. I think it would have been a different experience had I been a man or if my husband had been at home.
Been using Proovia for years and the quality of work and service is rapidly dropping - Broken items, angry overworked driver teams and cancelled collections. I have used them well over 300 times so well experienced with their work and the 'white lies' they tell. Used to be really good but now I regularly get told the 'van is full' or the 'van is broken down'. I have also witnessed driver teams shouting and fighting with other along with them climbing on top of customers items packed in the van. I have switched some deliveries over to Porta which are much better than proovia and more like how they used to be a few years ago.
Started well with good systems to set up collection and delivery. However, they turned up for collection before the time window they gave, and just left. Then on delivery day they rearranged for another day at the end of their time window after I had waited hours. Unreliable.
Proovia picked my x 2 parcels up from the supplier on a Thursday night to drop to us the very next morning (Friday). They only had it 14 hours and they had lost one of my packages. It was a package 2m long so pretty hard to lose. They tried blaming the supplier then finally admitted they had lost it when the supplier got involved. They refused to deliver until the following week which left my builder twiddling his thumbs as he couldn't start the job. Appalling service, avoid at all costs. Also asked for my £45 delivery costs back as they didn't deliver to schedule and they refused. Will be taking it further.
